Playtime: 1047 minutes

Very straightforward play. Once you get the hang of the tactics, the game "rolls" along nicely. It can get "dicey" at times to figure out the best companions and trinkets but having a run "fold" out perfectly just feels amazing. It took me about 17 hours to complete all the current characters on easy. If I didn't have a huge backlog of games, I would have continued to play the different difficulties. The game loop can be very addicting. The issue like most of these games is when unlocking items it becomes harder to figure out the best load out. Highly recommended. Amazingly enough, you can actually save your game mid-run which is great for pick up and put down sessions! Begrudgingly, I will put this game down so I can hack away at my ever growing Steam game library. Buy it on sale or get it as a bundle and enjoy!

I really wanted to enjoy this game, and it definitely has a lot of promise, but the balance is so, so bad. The usefulness of different companions' skills is all over the place, there are too many exact rolls required with not enough ability to manipulate the RNG, and you don't get anything when you lose a run. The worst example I've run into is the monster that requires you to roll two 1's plus another 1 or 2...and locks your skill slots. That's not a fun challenge. It's just annoying.

Worth trying due to fresh mechanics. When playing endless mode you will find quite a lot of bugs but they don't break a game. For example instead of 20 dices you will roll 7 for some unknown reason but in late game you don't really care. Healing is also overpowered in this game. If you have a healer companion you will almost always win.

Tinymice Entertainment is a team that knows how to manage resources well. With Dice & Fold, we can clearly see that they are successful in spreading these capacities to games that look and feel different. This enemy-slaying game, which is played only by rolling dice and opening cards, is very successful in both creating a sense of achievement and entertainment without tiring your mind. 9/10.

Bought it because I have a steam deck and I played a couple of StS likes. The controls are a disaster. There has never been a more obvious mouse only game. I had to wrestle with the controls until I gave up and started using my finger on the screen like it's a mobile game. Switching to Steam deck controls does nothing, Xbox controls are terrible. Went to play it on PC, controls are much better. As for the game itself it looks quite finished and the devs are putting out evn more content for some reason which was nice. Quite puzzling though because the game isn't really deep enough to justify spending hundreds of hours on it. Maybe for people who compulsively 100% games.

A straightforward yet strategic game about using dice to defeat your enemies in a charming dungeon crawler. The game is very intuitive and makes you dive into the action straight away, no boring tutorials or useless story. The interface is clean, the combat is fast and each run lasts the right amount of time, just so you can squeeze it in between daily chores. I enjoyed beating the game with every hero and trying every power, including the ones in the last pirate update. It's not a hard game but learning the ropes takes maybe half a dozen runs. Sometimes the dice refuses to enter its spot on the first few clicks - which is mildly annoying - but that was the only bug to affect me. I think it's worth a shot just to see the amount of different abilities the developers came up with.

Many ui bugs that either take months to get fixed or do not get fixed. Poor item balance that defeats the roguelike idea, I find myself choosing the same items every run because other items are just so weak. Publisher's weird tendency with advertising their other games with IN-GAME ADS that you cant remove. This game had potential to become a geart roguelike, but I cannot recommend it in the current state.

Over 70% through the game now. The mechanics and art are simple but very satisfying! Each character and companion mechanic feels unique to play, though some are more fun than others. The Warlock is my favorite so far. There is synergy to find with characters, relics, and items. There are over 20 relics I haven't unlocked yet, but I default to a few now. Experimentation may feel a bit dull at times. Sometimes your run will hit a wall due to a bad enemy match up, but given the short run times, it never felt like a frustrating waste. All three characters and new monsters in the Pirate update are fun to play! I'm looking forward to future ones.

the game itself can be fun but don't even try to employ strategy,the rng is so prominent it ultimately doesn't matter that much what you do,if you are lucky you are going to win and if you are not even if you do everything right you are going to lose.
