It's a little barebones, but I feel the passion and there really isn't another PF2e CRPG out there yet. Just keep in mind a few things if you're choosing to get this: it's mostly a combat sim, there aren't big story lines, branching choices, exploration, or really anything that you might normally expect in a TTRPG outside of combat The scope is fairly limited, only level 8 at most and mostly just the core prints, no uncommon stuff and lots of other feats won't be available

Romp with beginning adventurers who are setting out on their career. Playing them looks and feels young while you make mistakes and figure some things out. Great voice acting supports the story and the mood. Everything fits into the world's events and no "Giant Spider grind." There is more than one tactic to build your team and succeed at each mission. Fairly short, I got about 9 hours out of the main game, and am starting the DLC now, which doubles the number of missions in the game.

A great game with a lot of charm. Not a perfect replication of the PF2E system but it is as faithful as they could get it and it is close. Had a lot of fun and hoping to see more remaster content added in.

A pretty good intro to PF2E combat. Not perfect, but sooooo much more than I would expect at the $ I just looked a bit deeper and I am excited to run through the first part again with some of the new gameplay options (house rules) checked.

my pf2e group only meets twice a month so i sup from this game's bounteous crack cocaine in order to get my fix it's also good if you've never played the ttrpg i guess

A charming game with a faithful representation of Pathfinder 2e mechanics. The DLC Profane Barrier feels like a definite step-up in production and storytelling from the base game. With the added Free Archetype rules, Insane-difficulty is very doable and the game could have another higher difficulty step above it. Then again, if one were to buff the enemies in levels, Pathfinder 2e's limitation of +3/+4 monsters being frustrating to fight might make the game mostly frustrating/luck dependent without enhancing the mechanical challenge. Maybe more additional Hazards and enemies instead? Overall, a strong recommend for anyone interested in Pathfinder 2e!

Pathfinder 2nd edition is a great system for tactical combat, and Dawnsbury Days is the best implementation of the system in a video game! Every encounter is fun and interesting. In addition to that, it has a good story and good voice acting. And the expansion is even better! If you enjoy tactical combat and fantasy settings, you should definitely give this game a try!

Its the best application of TTRPG rules to a CRPG since Temple of Elemental Evil. I love how you can set up defaults for various things (like Agile Shield) and how easy to use UI is. Love it. Also PF2E helps a lot with its streamlined actions.

The game is good, mostly on the virtue that it is running off of Pathfinder 2e, but I don't think it's "98% positive ratings" good. If you want Pathfinder 2e in video game form, this is it. I mean that literally, there is no other Pathfinder 2e game currently. But if you aren't looking for a Pathfinder 2e game, I wouldn't recommend it.
Things I like

It's a mostly-faithful implementation of Pathfinder 2e, with many classes and feats.
Some of the combat encounters are quite interesting and include some puzzle-y elements. There aren't many like this, at least not in the 1-4 adventure, but they're there.
Great mod support. There are many mods which add new classes, races, feats, items, game modes, etc. There's a roguelike mod, for example.
The UI is based off of the Solasta UI, and thus is (usually) intuitive and easy to use.
You can view all of the monster's stats and abilities, and the game (usually) displays the percentage chance for you to succeed your dice rolls before you make them.
The game is fully voice-acted. I don't like the dialogue, but the voice acting itself is ok.
The discord is very active. If you have questions about rules clarifications, tips, or want help modding, you will certainly find it there.
Most the things I like about Pathfinder 2e (action economy, four degrees of success, character customization, etc.) are naturally present here as well.

Things I don't like

The story constantly sabotages any amount of sincerity with fourth-wall-breaking jokes. For example: early in the story, there is a villain that does something horrible, to which a party member shouts "you're a monster!" to which the villain retorts "on page 256 of the bestiary, to be exact" or the like. If you don't like the dialogue in Marvel movies, you won't like the dialogue here. Actually, Dawnsbury might be worse. I simply cannot empathize with these characters because they make it a point to prove that they are fictional and not real.
Even without the fourth-wall jokes, the story is still jarring. There is a combat later in the story where you (minor spoiler)
fight underwater devil things that constantly speak in silly rhymes
, making for a quite insincere moment where, again, the story is trying to be sincere. If the story picked "silly" or "serious," it would be fine. But it is super awkward when the story switches between the two so rapidly.
The art is lacking. It looks more like programmer art than anything else. Yes, it's clean, and yes, it doesn't actually bother me much, but I won't deceive you by saying the public domain art and music are positive things.
Although there are many options for classes, there are only a few races, backgrounds, and feats. There's enough to feel like you still have a unique character, but only barely. Mods alleviate this, to a degree.
The story only takes you up to level 4. It is relatively short. The DLC takes you up to level 8. I haven't played the DLC, so I can't speak on that.
While Pathfinder 2e tends to have some pretty fun monster ability designs, Dawnsbury Days has a bad tendency to throw "guys with lots of hp, big sticks, and spells" at you. The monsters present here are bland, mechanically speaking, at least when compared to some of the really interesting designs that Pathfinder 2e would otherwise offer on a regular basis.

Other things worth knowing

This game is based off of the original OGL version of Pathfinder 2e, not the remastered ORC-license version. This means that the terminology is different than what you might encounter in an actual game of Pathfinder 2e (e.g. "off-guard" is called "flat-footed"). Some of the balance changes that came with the remaster are also not present. If you want something closer to the remastered experience, some mods help, and there are a few homebrew options in the settings.
The setting is weird. It's classic fantasy (orcs, dungeons, wizards, etc.), but also the world exists on a disc floating through space, or something. It's the kind of world where I wonder what the sky looks like. Not a bad thing, just weird.
There's a demo called "The Quest for the Golden Candelabra." It's the first 25% of this game's story, just under a different Steam page. Dawnsbury Days (the full game) is only $5, but still, worth mentioning.
This game has 98% positive reviews. That's the same number of positive reviews as Hades, Balatro, Stardew Valley, Portal 2, Factorio, and Katana Zero (just to name a few 98% games I've played). Dawnsbury Days is good, but that's because Pathfinder 2e is "98% positive reviews" good. I don't think Dawnsbury Days itself is "98% positive reviews" good. I'll still play this game every now and then—probably with the roguelike mod—but I keep hoping that another Pathfinder 2e game gets made, so I can play that instead of this.
