This was that one game I was most looking forward from SAGE's, and its just what I expected really,
Yep this was pretty nice short and sweet little game, right from the get-go, this game just does whatever tf it wants, however tf it wants to sound and look, its weird and goofy as hell and I love love it, it confidently feels like it doesn't care what other people may say about on how it sounds and looks, to me about how it sounds as a whole, it was funny as hell, it quite surprised me!
Learning the gameplay was kind of a little pain, and definitely don't wanna admit changing the controls to modern embarrassingly late, but the first half were quite fun! but from the pyramid boss fight and the rest from there kinda sweep my smile from my face a little and the game beat the hell out of me, the moving icicles platforming was quite rough, trying to not fall with the slipperiness on air movement it's kind of... and it just feels the game eats my jumps inputs sometimes, this game really needs some coyote time technique if possible,
if all this is skill issue somehow, then yes maybe ngl... but still actual complaints I have.
Yet, at the end it was still a fun and charming little adventure I quite liked, those are my criticisms from my very first run tho, actually being able to pull of some awesome stuff in this game must be fun! I may come back and erase those D Ranks! Maybe!!!
And no, Walruses can't fly, but seals can, apparently, anyway 'THE WALRUS' FOR THE WIN!!!

This game is incredibly charming and very fun once you get used to the controls. Some levels can be really hard but you are clearly meant to replay levels multiple times to get a better score. Overall this is a great game that will constantly have you cracking up! I Can't wait to see more from The Jam!

Really fun and charming game! Controls take a while to get used to but once you do, it becomes a satisfying time to play. The acapella soundtrack is also brilliant. And MAN did the game kick me in the balls towards the end.

A very simplistic and cartoony run game with a lot of charm that'll give anyone a good chuckle. Especially if you're a fan of flavor text. I like to interpret Walrus Run as what a little kid pictures in their imagination if they decided to create their own game, and I feel like that's where the quality of it shines the most.
Gameplay wise, the controls are a bit tricky to get used to but really satisfying when it clicks. I'm personally surprised that implementing the slippery and sliding nature of a walrus in a platformer focused on speed works the way it does.
Very nice that there's customizations to all of The Walrus' movement to make things easier to handle. Because hhhoo boy... the later levels are soul crushing normally and nigh near impossible to escape D rank.
One small problem that I have with the game though is jumping off ramps does not work properly. The only way to maintain your momentum is at the TOP of the ramp. Anywhere else and you're going straight into the pit. Also The Cat's projectiles are unfair to dodge. The fight itself is fine though.
I recommend this game for anyone who wants a casual and easy-going experience or just likes silly expressions. It will encourage you to... er... fish for higher ranks. It's not at all easy, but it's fun to try.
I honestly feel like Walrus Run has potential.
And it's solo made. Give credit to that.
