The game is genuinely super fun, my favourite game mode is centrist as I'm not the greatest at Tetris so I find it more fun when I don't have the option to rotate otherwise it stresses me out lol. It's definitely a very unique take on the genre and I found the strategy to be very different when deciding where to place things. I think the graphics could definitely get an overhaul to make the game more visually appealing. Overall it's an enjoyable game that I'd recommend

Tetris but blocks are coming from up down left and right. oh there are also stuff and things to spice the game up like bombs. there are also different game modes. the dev guy seems ok. he looks lazy. but he delivers updates little by little and this little gem seems to be alive and well. i think its worth a buy

centrist is tetris with a twist. and a center. and an informative store page with screenshots showing settings and whatnot. should be the standard, sadly it's not. also, there was a 'blocks come from all 4 sides' situation years ago, free on the web, got ripped off and sold on steam by scummy individuals until it got taken down. this is neither of those, blocks here appear one by one. surprising no one, it's endless score attack with 4 game modes and their respective leaderboards. scores were made more easily readable (123,456 instead of 123456). rules are explained in-game, basically you're stacking blocks around the center and once a layer is complete, it disappears. outer layers are worth more. the next piece and where it's gonna appear is shown in the corner, no on-screen timer, thankfully. bombs start appearing every 5 turns after 20 placed blocks. they come in several variations, based on how filled up the board is. instead of the typical 'reach the top/side and die instantly' thing, you have 10 lives and losing them all for the usual tetris reasons ends the run. game modes are also explained in-game. centrist is the only one with irregular shapes and without block rotation. classic is the only one without bombs. bombastic is like classic with bombs. extremist doesn't have a center, gotta cling to the four corners instead, and bombs only appear after 40 blocks. available bomb types also vary between game modes. rebindable controls for up, down, left, right, rotate and reverse rotate. currently set ones are shown throughout the game, not the defaults. again, as it should be but plenty of lazy examples around for the contrary. gamepad also works (haven't tried it), mouse controls can also be enabled (ditto), but the mouse works in the menus regardless. the cursor now disappears after a few seconds of inactivity while playing a level. very basic graphics, barely noticable sfx (no problem with that), great music sourced from royalty-free places. the track when you reach a higher level is even better than the menu music. decent functionality too. besides the controls there are separate volumes, windowed mode, 10+ languages, grid and ghost block toggles, plus shift delay and shift speed settings. everything is available from the pause menu, volumes can be manipulated with the mouse without pausing. tetris purists might turn their nose up (down, left, right), but as a casual and occasional player, I enjoy deviations from the norm and had fun with this as well. takes a while to get used to the perspective, then again in extremist mode, but for the low price of 2 bucks it's worth giving it a shot.
