Utterly ruined by the difficulty. And the easy mode doesn't fix it.
It's a real shame, because parts of this game are really cool. The sprite work, especially in the bosses, is awesome. The general idea of being a douchebag who wants to become president of a shady company is funny. And the four lane battle system is a nice idea, I think.
The music rocks sometimes, and it's completely boring other times.
The bosses are terrible. Just, straight up. I only had the patience to defeat 3 of the 12. These bosses came in two flavors: Either they were super RNG based, meaning you'd do well if they didn't throw out their bullshit attacks instead of the easy ones. And when it's not RNG, it's just one attack pattern for the entire battle.
None of this would be a huge deal breaker if the difficulty weren't so poorly designed. The easy mode is just a band-aid on fundamentally sloppy design. Bosses will frequently throw out attack patterns that are literally impossible in that they cover all four lanes with no space to dodge. When you get halfway through their health bar, the bad attack patterns just go faster.
Even in easy mode, the bosses simply aren't that fun to engage with, and the bosses are all the game is. I want to recommend it, but I just can't.
