Heaven or Hell! Round 2 ! Let’s rock! Wow just wow. Idk how you go to a fun 2D fighting game that own the fighting genre than flop like a fish on a deck to a horrible beat em up. Like I get it’s like the 6th game in the franchise but this is rough. For arcade cabinets in Japan, they want to let the people experience a 4 player beaten up with your favorite guilty gear characters to this point. The problem is that they can’t program a simple beat em up. Controls do not work. Attacks will either not come out or your character will be stuck in going to one side of the screen. I thought it was just the character I was playing, but no. It’s every character. The main story is just slug fest to go though. Like stages drag on and on to waste your time. I don’t recommend it. If you decide to do vs mode than you in a world of pain. Controls still are not good in this mode and you can have up to 4 people fighting on 1 screen at once. It’s like taken smash bros but putting it in a box you can’t walk off or have no platforms. It’s a giant cluster muck of a mess with no real strategy. Just button mash to win. Now what is scary is that you can set CPUs to level 999 which is one of the most insane things to do. Fun to watch , but being slaughtered is not. The cast of characters is one of the best in the series which I do like. It’s sad to not see half of them return in later games. To bad they had to down grade the visuals. This game just one of those games that more of a spin off not really worth playing unless you like gaming history like me. Go to the next Guilty Gear unless you like to be killed by some level 999 CPUs. Some one might like that challenge. 3/10

Guilty Gear XX blahblahblah version, but with some extra mechanics that Guilty Gear games don't normally have, 4 player multiplayer, and some random bells and whistles like a color customizer. It's neat if you're a huge fighting game nut who likes to check out weird versions of games (me). As a party game, there's not a lot too it besides being an up to 4 player Guilty Gear, having a beat-em-up mode, a couple of weird exclusive characters (that you have to unlock), and a customizable character (that you also have to unlock stuff for). This game also goes particularly crazy with the number of buttons + button combinations there are to learn, which tends to not be great for party games. To end on a positive note, there are some beautiful stages that you can buy Steam profile backgrounds of.
