FREAKING. ITEM. > ❓ "Where's the fish case?" I ask the universe > 🌌 universe remains silent, mocking me > 🤬 felt like Gordon Ramsay at this point > 🐟 instead of shouting over lamb sauce, it's a fish case > 🧠 sanity dropping faster than stocks during a market crash > 🔃 it's not just a walk in the park, it's a walk in circles > 👻 become one with the village, like a lost spirit > 🤸‍♂️ tried everything, even parkour on rooftops > 🙅‍♂️ still no fish case, it's a conspiracy I tell you > 🌀 *cue existential crisis* > 🔍 this "game" turned me into a detective > 📏 scoured every inch, every pixel > 🎲 only to find out the item location is RNG > 🎰 RNGesus hates me apparently > 🧠 my sanity dropped faster than a Lovecraftian protagonist > 🤔 contemplate life choices, question existence > 🤯 feel dumber than a rock, dumber than a TikToker > 🎵 start humming Linkin Park, contemplating singing Crawling > 🤷‍♂️ but in the end, it doesn't even matter > 🔥 rage level over 9000, ready to declare war on Atlantis > 🌊 because screw Aquaman and his fishy friends > 📜 remembered seeing a Steam guide, a glimmer of hope > 🔄 followed it religiously, led to a screenshot > 🖼️ screenshot shows the item next to a well > 🐍 but the well I found had no fish case, just disappointment > 🕵️‍♂️ village must have multiple wells, each with its own secrets > 😞 lost all hope, spiraling deeper into madness > ❓ game lacks hint system, adds insult to injury > 🙅‍♂️ can't recommend this glorified asset flip > 🐍would rather have a staring contest with a Medusa than play this again > 🕵️‍♂️ it's like trying to find Waldo, Carmen Sandiego, and the Pink Panther all at once > 😢 Sunland Town more like Sufferland Town > 📉 2/10, would rather tap dancebarefoot on Legos. [[Scene: A cozy living room, dimly lit. Phil Collins sits in an armchair, a fedora perched on his head. Behind him, a small table holds a cup of tea and a copy of Sunland Town. The camera zooms in on Phil as he adjusts his glasses and clears his throat.] Phil Collins: Alright, mates, gather round. Today, we're delving into the realm of digital escape, a little game called Sunland Town. Now, you might be expecting ol' Phil to croon about paradise or being "In the Air Tonight," but let me tell you, this experience left me feeling more like "I Don't Care Anymore." [He holds up the game case with a disappointed frown.] Phil Collins: Let's start with the basics, shall we? The visuals, not too shabby, reminiscent of "Two Worlds," if you will. But beauty is only skin deep, my friends. Beneath the surface lies a land of confusion. Phil Collins: So, I dive in, hoping to find some semblance of meaning, perhaps a bit of "Son of Man" wisdom hidden in the depths. But what do I find? A scavenger hunt from hell. I search high and low for this blasted fish case, feeling like a lost soul in the land of the dead. [He gestures dramatically, mimicking the search.] Phil Collins: "I'll Be in Your Heart," they said. More like I'll be stuck in this game for eternity, trying to find a bloody fish case! Phil Collins: And let's talk about controls, shall we? It's like trying to drum with two left feet. No customization, no freedom, just like being trapped in "Another Day in Paradise," but without the soothing melodies. [He sighs heavily, setting the game down.] Phil Collins: In the end, my friends, this game is a disappointment. I'd rather face a Genesis reunion tour without rehearsal than spend another minute in Sunland Town. So, heed my warning: steer clear unless you're a glutton for punishment or enjoy feeling like "Against All Odds." [He leans back in his chair, looking into the distance as the camera fades out to the sound of "In the Air Tonight" playing softly in the background.] 🎙️ **Public Service Announcement:** 🚨 Attention all gamers, adventurers, and virtual explorers! 🚨 Are you tired of trudging through digital wastelands, searching for that elusive gem of a game, only to be met with disappointment and frustration? Well, buckle up, because we've got a tale to tell about a little game called Sunland Town – the walking simulator that promises paradise but delivers a punchline! 🌞 Picture this: you boot up the game, greeted by promises of serene beauty and mystical charm. 🌳 You're ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery and relaxation. But hold onto your joysticks, folks, because this ride is about to get bumpy! Let's start with the visuals, shall we? 🖼️ Ah, yes, the hand-painted landscapes, the quaint villages, the picturesque scenery – it's like stepping into a Bob Ross painting, except Bob Ross wouldn't touch this game with a ten-foot paintbrush! Next up, gameplay. Oh, where do we even begin? 🤔 Imagine wandering through these idyllic towns, searching for hidden treasures like a bargain hunter at a flea market. You're promised a stroll, but what you get is a marathon – a marathon of frustration, confusion, and more circles than a confused hamster in a wheel! But wait, it gets better! Let's talk controls. Ever wanted to feel like you're steering a tank through a maze of molasses? Look no further, my friends! Sunland Town's controls will leave you questioning your sanity and your choice in games. It's like trying to navigate a labyrinth with a blindfold and a broken compass – good luck finding your way out! Now, onto the soundtrack. 🎶 Oh, you thought the ambient sounds would deepen your connection to the world? Think again! Instead of soothing melodies, you're treated to a symphony of frustration – a cacophony of clicks and clacks as you desperately try to interact with the environment, only to be met with disappointment at every turn. But wait, there's more! 📢 Despite its promises of relaxation and self-discovery, Sunland Town is more likely to induce stress and existential crises. 🤯 You'll question your life choices, your gaming preferences, and your ability to find joy in this digital wasteland. It's like therapy, but without the therapeutic benefits! And here's the kicker, folks: this PSA probably has more effort put into it than the game itself! 💥 That's right, while you're struggling to find meaning in Sunland Town, we're over here crafting witty commentary and clever critiques – because someone's got to do it! So, do yourself a favor and skip the digital vacation to Sunland Town. Your sanity and your wallet will thank you. Remember, folks: not all that glitters is gold, and not all games are worth playing. Choose wisely! 🎮

Alright. Sunland Town is done and dusted. This is yet another asset flip walking simulator in the Hike series of games. As always with the town variety of these games, you're given a shopping list of items to find and will wander around a Unity store asset pack finding them, lol. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3140586626 With this one, the likely one for one asset pack town is nice enough to wander through. It's a pleasant looking place. One of the shopping list items is found outside of town. Everything else is inside town. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3140586608 You are given the option to play during the day or at night. I went with night, which I thought was funny due to the game’s name. I played with the volume down, so no thoughts on the music this time. It is Steam Deck compatible and as always, assign the shift key to a comfortable spot on your controller for fast walking. That's about it. I enjoyed the fifteen minutes the game offers. You will want to wait for this to be under fifty cents in order to get your cost vs value, but it's a pleasant enough casual game, as asset flips go. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3140586801
If you found this review helpful and would be interested in supporting my Curator group, Robilar's Reviews, it would be appreciated.
