I'm going to recommend this game, even though I voted it down. It is not a bad game. But after a single hour, I felt I had seen all there was to see of the game. Solid for what it is, but not worth the $4 price tag to me.

This game is such a good boredom buster. Forget all your triple A crap we've had the last few years, this is the sort of thing we need. Something that is genuinely fun and you can chill on for hours. A*

This game is very shallow. but the mail problem is the fact that there is a bug which is very common where your guns will fire in a fixed point all day even though there's no enemy there. and when the night start they continue to fire on that same point until the enemy blobs kill a lot of your infrastructure. then they will fire on the enemy but by then you'll lose a lot of infrastructure. ad to that the fact that the enemies one shot your expensive turrets...

So, I stumbled upon Gregg: Tower Defence, not expecting much, however, I was pleasantly surprised! It's a simple concept – gather resources by day, defend your base from slimeballs by night.
The gameplay hooked me pretty quickly. It's oddly satisfying to strategize where to build towers and which weapons to use. Plus, the balance between gathering resources and fighting off waves keeps you on your toes.
Sure, it's not the flashiest game out there, but it's got this charm that kept me coming back for more.
If you're into tower defence games and want something low-key to pass the time, give Gregg a shot. You might just find yourself hooked like I did.

Unusual name (who's Gregg???) but a really fun tower defense game with a strong harvest/build gameplay loop. During the day, you run out and harvest materials to build defenses. At night, you defend your little house from hordes of blobs. Harvesting is satisfying -- fun and easy, with good audiovisual feedback -- and the upgrades make sense and have a good progression. The art style is really cute, too. Some TD games get a little crowded and visually muddy, but the simple pixel art in Gregg: Tower Defense makes it easy to read what's going on. It you want to kick back and relax with a simple tower defense / harvesting game that can be challenging but not too taxing, this is a good choice.

Stumbled across this game after seeing a YouTuber named InterndotGif playing it. For $4 you could do a lot worse for a couple hours of amusement.
Pros:
Fun little gameplay loop that blends tower defense and resource gathering
Straightforward UI
Mass Upgrade button is a nice feature.
It's $4, that's like a single McDonalds hashbrown.
Cons:
Hitboxes and aim are a little wonky
Your character becomes decorative after the fourth night
Replay value seems low at the moment. I haven't gotten to the final tier yet, but I assume either the game ends after X amount of days or its a race to see how long you can hold out.
For four dollars, this is absolutely worth the buy. I hope they add more to the game and flesh it out a bit with some customization settings at least. But, even if this is the final product, it's still a fun little time waster.

So conflicted over giving a negative review as this is a fun and competent game with good ideas, but a lack of graphics options sent me over the edge into negative.
GOOD
+ very fun loop for about an hour
+ feels good to play
+ satisfying upgrades
BAD
- only one hour can be squeezed out of what is here
- 4 dollars feels like a steep asking price
IRRITATING
This game runs at an uncapped framerate and offers no in-game graphics settings, so it made my CPU and GPU run wildly hot. This is what threw me into a negative review. For thirty minutes I don't realize it has my temps at the absolute max. I was able to correct it with the nvidia control panel but it shouldn't have had an uncapped framerate to begin with.
I would not have minded the 4 dollar asking price had the game not arbitrarily pushed my system to the max. This might not matter to folks with better rigs, but I'm on a gaming laptop so cpu/gpu temps are something I'm always wary about. Insane that this simple 2D game pounded my system harder than ray traced Cyber Punk.
Anyway, now that I'm done whining, the game is fun and I hope the developer expands it into something more significant and I really hope they include basic graphic options next time.

Would definitely recommend for the price! Really enjoyed the player control -> tower control game-play, and the expanding home area means you're constantly re-evaluating and evolving your towers in a way that I haven't found in many other tower defence games. Big fan already.

Played my first run and got to wave 22. This game is a really unique idea for tower defence and has good replayability value, all the tower designs are pretty cool and are very powerful as you progress. Bargain for £2.50, would recommend.
