The DLC is one of the so-called booster packs; it contains a level 3 upgrade to Garrett’s lockpicks that massively increases their sensitivity, which is the most valuable here. There are also 40 water arrows and 20 rope arrows, but these may be obtained really easily throughout the game. Finally, there is an additional sum of money, to be specific: 750 gold pieces.
It is fairly the most useful booster pack, the other ones are fine, but this one is perfect for those who prefer the stealthy approach. Still, increased lockpicking sensitivity comes in handy regardless the playstyle. Well, water arrows are - obviously - really useful for extinguishing flames and sticking to the shadows. When it comes to rope arrows, even though their usage is limited to certain places, they may unlock hidden or alternative sneaky ways. And the extra gold? Well, plenty is no plague, eh?

It's a complete waste of money buying a booster in a single player game, which adds some items on start and allows you to buy 3rd level upgrade of lockpicking.

A booster pack offering a mixed bag of resources to give you a slight headstart. While fairly cheap, it's not worth it overall. Water arrows aren't frequently used, aside from completing certain thieving challenges. Rope arrows are available in modest quantities and are fairly cheap to buy anyway. The gold is nice, but it's fairly little. The lockpick upgrade is really good, but itself is a mixed bag; it makes lockpicking a lot easier but in turn, negates the difficulty and accompanying risk of lockpicking.

The lockpicking sensitivity upgrade makes lockpicking easier, which takes away from the fun. The water and rope arrows are easily obtainable in-game and not worth the purchase. The only redeeming factor is the extra gold, but it's not a significant amount. It's a questionable purchase for a single-player game that doesn't require grinding.

The items will be placed in your storage chest in the Clocktower Hideout.
Definitely not worth getting at full price.
Reasonably useful, although Food is easy to buy, or even find.

I'd especially recommend it to people playing on master with a custom difficulty of 700+
I started a run with reduced speed but nearly reached retirement age by the time Garret got from the clock tower to the Siren's Rest. I restarted with increased price of resources instead of the speed thing, which is just too tedious!
Rope arrows come in at 600 gold each, plus on master you find fewer. Without the DLC, I was going to need Basso's 5 side jobs and looting most of the clock tower area to buy a rope arrow for Chapter 2.
Water arrows are 8x dearer, too. Now I don't need to bother about them.
750 gold gets me a couple of useful trinkets that aren't rendered useless by my custom settings, so that's cool.
For players not going for the 'Something to prove' achievement, I'd say you don't need it, but I only paid 39 pence and it's definitely worth it for me.
I do agree that it shouldn't be a DLC Garret's stash should come with a few arrows, food and gold in the base game.

These so called 'booster packs' are worthless.
Square Enix tried to milk the cow a bit more.
That's basically what these things are, trash.
Although: It's a great way to support them.
But it's also a very lazy way to make money.
A simple challenge map would be fantastic.
But no, let's just sell these boosters instead.
Let's milk the fans and game collectors too.
This won't give you any additional playtime.
But: You will receive the guaranteed regrets.
A negative review for a lazy cash grab, easy.

Saves a little time I guess. I only have it because I purchased the Thief collection which came with all boosters. I appreciated the little helping hand personally and with the gold you can sooner buy the most useful tools in the game, like the Wrench, Razor and Wirecutter. But I wouldn't actually pay for this individually... I would just play the game like a real chad.

I honestly don't get why someone would buy this. I only have it because it was included in the bundle. It's also the ONLY ONE booster included in the bundle, we don't want to be TOO generous here. I don't... I don't get it. You buy this and the game gives you some stuff for free. It's a cheat.... and they're charging you for it. What?

Would not recommend this because that the stuff in the pack are useless:
- The lockpicking sensitivity upgrade only making the lockpicking easier and where is the fun in this ?
- The water and rope arrows can't be use a lot and they can be bought cheap inside the game.
The only reason to buy it is for the gold that isn't much (750)
