I've Played all Supreme Ruler Games Starting With Gold This One Is Good Too The Only Problem Is The Ai Does Not Cross The Ocean In The 1936 Game i Would See Canada/U.S cross All The Time Than SRU Stopped that From Ever Happening Again Due To Path Finding That Issue Is Still Here Ive Seen The Devs Say its Fixed But its Not Apart From That It is A good Title

I have not been able to get very far yet, but I started a campaign as Germany before the Great War starts and it's running well. The only small problem I had is that when selecting reserve units and deploying them to select locations, there were a handful of units from different barracks that didn't move to their destination once deployed. This will be perfect for those in the community asking for some of the legacy content being added to SR2030.

Not much of a big change since the last games, but it is still worth it. Been an SR follower since a long time ago and still play it for long stretches... Would recommend!

The following behind the franchise over the years speaks for itself... it's another great addition to the SR series, I read a lot of negative reviews on the SR2030 and Great War remastered page; in this case I'll say...don't judge a game by the reviews.... the game is different for each player and that is because it is so immersive and open to direction of varying play styles.... somebody who gives the game a crappy review could just be giving the game a crappy effort.... that said there are some flaws in the game but they are minimal now for this title and history shows you that the games that are released from this studio are tended and monitored closely as the development continues based upon user feedback and otherwise overlooked functional flaws, which are not unheard of but with B.G. they never leave ya hangin for too long. The game is heavily moddable....many complaints people have in regards to gameplay are issues that can be solved with modding the games file contents.... It seems to me by reviewing feedback blogs that many people just don't realize they can mod the game and adjust hundreds upon hundreds of settings themselves....for almost anything....and it's always been that way since I've played these games starting with SR1936.... regardless and to sum this up. With all of that said I will reiterate that development tends to cater to the fanbase wants and requests and in the long run whether you mod the game or not the games get fixed up the way people like them and that is why the franchise has such a loyal and enthusiastic fanbase. At the end of the day; when the development closes and the fat lady starts singing....all releases from battlegoat studios are of top notch quality.

I loved the original game. But this version is just so much better. This is a game for people like me who love to micro manage. They added more diplomatic options and more tech to research. Great graphics. A perfect Strategy game. I don't know what else to say besides this is a very fun game.

Where does one even start to describe this mess? First of all, the only reason why i purchased this product is for MP, in single player the AI has barely been updated the last 15 years since supreme ruler 2010 (yes i know the franchise is 40 year old) The AI will send solo units and small groups into walls of 100+ enemy artillery dying in 1 barrage, the AI will will move troops from the front, put them into merchant marines, and then drive back -> https://i.imgur.com/TUKeCFx.jpeg The AI ministers will fight against in any and all turns if you are foolish enough to enable them, since when you enable, as a example if you would "enable maximise active units" - that AI minister will take control over how many troops should be allocated too a area, between none, low, medium, high, while it says "will maximise deployment of troops and position them as needed" - And this is one of the main issues, you activate it to keep units from idling in reserves and you loose all control over newly built units that will as in this example go somewhere else, where the AI decided it was "more needed" The unit building has been broken in all 1 million versions of the game, as i enabled full AI control before i started writing on this review to see if there was any improvements, nope not at all. The AI is obsessed with building 1) Artillery 2) AA. They will spam this over and over and over, too no end, out of my 2000 current units (after the AI took over) the AI drove around 1200 mounted infantry and 600 artillery systems straight into a wall of 50-100+ soviet 203mm howitzer, most of them moved in, with small 5-7 groups in the start (yes the location was scouted) and after my first 600-800 losses they AI added lots of hotspots in the soviet cities and managed too lose the rest of the units by attacking similar fortified cities with 1-2-3 units at a time, which ofc meant they died and died and died, it died so much that i got 2 more million casualties, lol. the AI cannot properly build, now i am sitting with 1800 artillery systems and 400 mounted infantry and 800 AA system. whenever a mounted infantry finishes being built, the AI will take it and drive it into the artillery wall of the soviets too die. Every once in a while the AI also drives some artillery systems to "attack in close combat with" https://i.imgur.com/jszpZoM.jpeg - The AI does not understand "what do i have, what do i need" i have over 100 land fabrications for testing, even with that my war minister cannot take Minsk, for 2 full years of ingame time the units just go to die over and over, my country has gone from 800 klosses with 950 something lost units from when I controlled -everything myself- too in 2 game years time, managed too now loose 3000 units https://i.imgur.com/wp3TXk1.png (the game is currently running in the background as i am writing this) My colonies where i also built land fabs, are transporting land units with merchant marine ships from africa->northern germany(i do have 10-15 ports in south of france...) just so they can all be sunk by the ships in the channel, and the english artillery. in the black sea, my elite infantry that liberated ukraine, is being told by the AI too get in their merchant marine boats and ship themselves too turkey, one by one, they are being sunk by the remaining soviet ship, and the AI minister is just sending more units too sink. Units are going into areas where there is no supply, too get stuck so that they cannot get out of there. https://i.imgur.com/jBqYitp.jpeg - And they get picked off 1 by 1, with no sups, and no ammo too lesser green units, vs my veterans with 20-50 kills. Units are being told to "move forward" but gets stuck because they are waiting for "waiting for safe path" The game will still "paint a picasso" - With giving your military allies land that you conquer, that they do not have any sort of supply link too, for no reason what so ever. And then they will "come too defend it" - So their annoying blob in your empire will have lots of random 1 square ally controlled area. (yes i know there is trading for it now, but even when i offered 500 billion for a 1 square from my ally, they will not accept, they will never accept. Why? - Cause every single SR game does not really have diplomacy it's just broken stuff that only works in MP https://i.imgur.com/yCkWhi6.jpeg Units cannot move 1-2-3 hex forward, in a straight line they are always told to use the "cheapest path", so i am watching the AI moving out my old 100+ kills infantry and mounted infantry from the high ground, in forest terrain too roads, because they are told to assault from the open field since it's "cheaper too move there" . they instantly gets demolished. The AI will not send "anti-submarine units" to fight enemy submarines, but it will keep sending capital ships into enemy sea zones, just too be sunk even thou 10 them were already sunk, they will just keep sending 1 new ship there to die, for no reason at all. The AI will send your artillery into close combat, for no reason The Game cannot handle the "rail" system, when for example artillery are in "train form" they will not shoot or do anything, so if you tell your troops too move forward, on a rail into a enemy area your units will transform into transformers train form and not attack and if the square infront of your army that you are moving forward encounters a hidden enemy infantry in a forest and they stop too fight, can you guess what happens with your artillery behind them "waiting for safe path" - yea they do not fight, or they just get stuck cause you used a large stack of infantry or such to move forward slowly so they "artillery in train form" cannot move forward so they cannot "leave train form" and gets stuck in it, and even if they have enemies within range, they will not fight. However if you quickly select your art stack and tell them too just "move" or "entrench" on the square behind your front liners, they will instantly transformers transform into artillery units and start fight. There are just so many issues with moving, pathfinding, fighting, and all those issues exist in all the other games, and they never bother too fix it. See how these 2 artillery units got stuck? -> https://i.imgur.com/F2pOOBa.jpeg Under the stack 3 squares north of them there are 6 more artilleries that "could pass" the enemy zone of controll, but these 2 could not, the enemy has 2 defender, they can attack 1 hex, so the rail road is 100% safe, no enemy can reach them. But yeah, stuck stuck stcuk, in train form so they are not even assisting in the attack even thou the enemy is well within range! - Issues Issues More diplomacy, I am germany, i attack the soviets, the soviets has "allied troops from brittain" I am not at war with brittain, I take the hex where a british unit is standing the game tells me "those evil britts are trespassing!" The AI has managed too lose 300 more units, just randomly sending them too die into the enemy artillery fire, https://i.imgur.com/wjMiobW.jpeg - Just like the players ministers, every single AI is obsessed with making 60-70% artillery production, and and 20% AA production and once in a while a mounted infantry attacks me and that mobile infantry just runs into my stacks of 35+ artillery that gibs it. The UI, they somehow managed to make worse then the other games UI, that was already the worst gaming UI that has ever existed in the age of gaming, and a flat out refusal to listen to advice about it for 15 years. Ai minister sending more land units as merchant marines to die, this time in the suez channel https://i.imgur.com/eiw7V63.jpeg It's just sending all my african built troops to die from british egypt and US naval ships and artillery, for no reason what so ever, other then the AI has absolutely no idea what it is doing as usual, 2000+ troops in europe 20 in "german east africa" I used max amount of characters, and im not even 5% done. buy at 90% sale minimum!

You're buying the campaign, sandbox mode in this is kind of pointless. Nobody develops or even attacks properly, so if you're any of the major powers it's easy, event-less, and boring.
