__The good__ - The game has a unique and worthwhile concept. - Spritework for elfs is quite nice. - It was mostly enjoyable for the short 4 hours that I played it, but this is more due to the inherent strength of both genres than the quality of the game. __The bad__ - Game barely tells you how to play or how the mechanics work. - Half the visuals are bad to mediocre. - UI is actual garbage. - The map shows skill effects so you can effectively blind yourself during maze mode. - Maze mode is poorly balanced, boring and repetitive. - Game barely has any content. - Pretty much all content in the game has poor coding and suffers from extreme jank. - The translations are incredibly bad. - Some text is not translated at all, good luck reading Chinese. - Translations are inconsistent, example: The monsters are called elf/elves but often they are translated as pokémon. - You have limited settings. - No controller support in a genre that is known for being comfy with a controller. - The game is less finished than the majority of early access titles, yet the developer has this game listed as fully released and has already gone on record to say that Elven Dream won't get major content as they are working on a new game. __Score__ Nearly every aspect of the game is poorly executed, with it only remaining somewhat interesting to play due to the fact that it takes inspiration from two inherently fun and captivating genres. The amount of jank and polish is probably worse than a monster taming idle game I've reviewed as being a 2/10 score overall, so I would have to give Elven Dream a 1/10 for simply being an extremely low quality game even if it can be fun for a short while. If I had to rate this subjectively on fun factor, then I would probably be able to give it a 3~4/10, because other survivors competitors are still more enjoyable to play and have more content. Elven Dream is the only game from this developer right now, it is very poorly made, and they are basically admitting that it may be abandonware already. This absolutely deducts score for me, but I don't find it appealing to give a 0 score to any game, so I rate it **0,5/10**.
