Nice game with funny dialogues--very suitable for couples that like to solve puzzles together. Learning curve is not that steep but steep enough to have a genuine sense of pride and accomplishment in the end. About that ending (spoiler):
It's a bit disappointing to play for 20 hours only to find yourself being cooked by pygmies in the end :-) (Haven't figured out how to get to the other 5 possible endings)
This game is brilliant, but online connection is broken now and multi nor co-op don't work anymore :( Also autors don't respond and even official webpage seems dead. Game is awesome, but completely abandoned, pity :(

Wyv and Keep: The Temple of the Lost Idol is a fun, comical, co-op, puzzle platformer game. Each puzzle takes place on a single screen and has a kind of Sokoban-style gameplay. If you play in single player mode, you switch between each characters. If you play with a friend either player controls a character. The price might be a little high at the current $15 for the depth of the game play, but there is a lot of content here if you enjoy the puzzles. I played with a friend, so my experience with this game is from that point of view. I have not tried single player. The game consists of moving around crates to reach new areas, activate buttons, block traps, and eventually open up the exit which both characters must reach. New obstacles are added in each set of levels, such as arrow traps, spikes, enemies, and lava. In addition, there are new objects to play with such as dynamite and crates hanging from ropes that must be cut down. Without giving away any spoilers, if you make it to the end of the game you are in for the quite the surprise, or at least it was for my friend and me. The platforming part of this puzzler comes in a lot in the later stages. Once you have figured out where the crates need to be moved around in a particular level, there is still a lot of timing and precise jumping involved. All in all, I think anyone who is a fan of this genre will enjoy this game, even more so if you have a friend to play it with.
Judging it prematurely, I thought I'd hate it
I was very skeptical about whether I was going to like this game or not. In the end I'm very glad I bought it, and now I feel a little guilty because I got it on sale and it's worth more than I paid. The reason I didn't think I would like it, is because in the late 80's and early 90's box-pushing games were everywhere and I played them all. Yes I realize that even at first glance this game isn't Sokoban but the underlying game play of these kinds often boil down to Sokoban with more razzle-dazzle. I didn't think "yet another" would grab my attention.
OK so I was wrong this game is great!
Wyv & Keep has won me over. I'm about 1 hour into the game and on World 2-6 and I've seen enough to know I'm hooked. The wonderful thing about this game so far is that new mechanics keep opening up as you go along. They don't force-feed you anything and yet everything is completely discoverable and that is a sign of intelligent game design. What a joy it was to figure out that I could grab a bomb with one character, pass it though a tiny opening to the next character, then realize that's what the game was waiting to discover I could do. Level solved, I AM SO SMRT!!! :D Many of these little AHA! moments come along regularly and I can't say how much I appreciate the elegant simplicity and deft puzzle design from the devs. Red-herrings in the puzzles can exist, but there is never needless convolution - each apparent obstacle is a clue as to how you need to think about solving the puzzle. Genius. My cynicism has become total enthusiasm! Love this game and I cannot wait to slowly unravel it.

First of all; this game is meant to play co-op, preferably in the same couch. The game has similarities to Lost Vikings for you who have played that. It's a puzzle-platformer by the true meaning of it. You need to think logical to calculate which boxes you will move where and who goes to which platform. Control is good and if you die you have yourself to blame. Every level is a little bit harder than the last and it's a good idea to pause the game in the beginning of every level to discuss with your partner who will do what. It's really fun when you need to think a lot to beat the level and you feel smart when solving the levels which at first seems impossible to beat. Nice pixel graphics, good control (I prefer to play with game pad) and nice music. Every level also have extra challenges you can try. Beat the level under a certain time, take all the coins/diamonds and clear it without dying. Because you need to think logically the speed of the gameplay is sometimes slow, but I would say perfect. For stressed people they can play some FPS instead I really recommend this game for you and your friend if you want a good and fun puzzle-platformer local co-op challenge!

The game works fine, I loved the Pixel art, the puzzles and the music. Multiplayer is broken and devs don't give a fix (seems they doesn't care anymore). A shame. I hope this game gets fixed. For now, I want a refund.

I haven’t finished this game (lost my save twice, my own fault). So I can't speak for the later parts of the game. I played this the only right way. Which is in couch co-op. The levels has a easy-normal challenge to them but they’ve added the challenge to get all the treasure in the levels. This gives you an extra difficulty if you want it. Perfect. the controls work just as you expect them to and except for being puzzling the game is fun. The graphic is great, the music on par and the humor childish but fitting. I recommend this to everyone except Terry. Terry shouldn’t play anything. This is of course a Linux game!

A potentially fun game is marred by bad implementation. If you retry a level more than a few times, you're rewarded with a steaming pile of poo as your rating. Expect to die many times due to bad jumping mechanics, especially when standing in mud/quicksand. You can't jump in this muck, which unfortunately seems to transfer to the patch of ground next to it, causing extra suffering. You can push blocks but not pull them. You can pick up select items but not jump while carrying them. Too much trial and error for a game that deducts points for the time it takes to solve and number of attempts is just bad. I was expecting Adventures of Lolo gameplay, where restarts were expected but you weren't punished. This game unfortunately falls short, which is a shame as the sounds and animations are pretty decent.

A game with a very nice and animated pixel aesthetic and a funny story that is followed with some interest. However, it is still the classic puzzle game programmed a thousand times, which consists of pushing boxes, pressing switches, collaborating between characters ... The puzzles are good, but it is a game mechanic that is already very hackneyed. In addition, the price is too high for what the game offers, since you can find similar games much cheaper or even free. I recommend buying at a discount .. I bought it with a 90% discount. 6.5/10 Hey, if this review has been useful to you, you can follow me on: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/38997970/
