Alright. Cozy Desert is done and dusted. This is another entry in the Hike series of asset pack walking simulators. It took me 19 minutes to complete. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3124447830 Some notes on this one: The setting is unique amongst the Hike series. The dev must have invested in some new asset packs. This one features a desert town. This is variety of Hike series game where you have a shopping list of items to find rather than locations to find. Five of the items are found outside of the town. Several of the items are found on the rooftops, utilizing what this developer likes to refer to as parkour. It's really just jumping up boxes and across gaps though. It is Steam Deck compatible and you will want to assign the shift/fast walk key to a comfortable spot on your controller. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3124448133 Cozy Desert was 79 cents during this Steam Winter Sale (at the time of this writing). I'd say cost vs value is barely there. I give the dev a bit of a pass here since s/he is at least increasing their asset pack library lol. If you're just looking for some mindless and casual gaming for a few minutes, this game can be that for you. It's a peaceful experience. At this time, there is only one game left in the Hike series I haven't played, and I won't be buying that until probably the next Steam Summer Sale. Since this closes out my reviews and curation of the series for now, I do want to talk a bit about this game's reviews for a moment. You will see the same four to six reviewers on all these games, myself included. I personally buy the titles I review, and it does appear as though one of the other reviewers does as well. The remaining persistent reviewers seem to be friends of the dev if not the dev him/herself and basically post the same reviews each time. Just something to be mindful of. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3124447983 [code]If you found this review helpful and would be interested in supporting my Curator group, Robilar's Reviews, it would be appreciated.
