I am a 45 yo father, probably one of the oldest people playing this game. I am a single father to my Son, who is 14 now. My son got this game from his uncle, so we installed it on his computer and he started playing. By the end of the week he had 24 hours on this game. This was horrible for me, as it was already hard for me to find ways to spend time with my son, as he is always out with his friends or just watching YouTube. So I decided to make a Steam account and get this game to see if I could maybe play alongside him. I loaded into the game, picked my character and world and started playing but I was stuck on what you where supposed to do. I asked my Son for help and he hosted a game for me to join. I loved it as it was the best time I had spent with my Son since my wife had died. This game has ever since brought me and my son closer again and now we actually spend time together outside the house together as well. This game reminded me that there's fun to be had in everything, and it has brought both me and my Son many happy memories.

A nice combination of an action-puzzler and a shoot em up, Its probably closest to Every Extend if you've ever played that, or maybe a horizontal version of puzzle bobble where shot timing mattered as much as accuracy.
Its good. its different, it makes excellent use of a second monitor.

I give this a slight thumbs up with a huge disclaimer: Only buy this game if it's on a really good sale. I got this for $1.49 during an Autumn/Year End Awards sale.
On the surface it seems like a challenging side-scrolling shooter but it's more of a puzzle because you can usually only fire one shot at a time, but the explosions generated from hitting enemies can cause chain reactions that make bigger explosions and kill more enemies (think Missile Command), which is how you beat bosses and proceed. And if you let enemies past you without destroying them, they shrink the play area and if you touch the far left side of the field, game over.
It's a unique concept but also kinda boring as there's not a ton of action here. There is a clever multiplayer option though. The problem with the advertised size of the widescreen is you can only play in windowed mode, and you have to use the mouse to move the window to a place you can hopefully see it. So this is really best suited for large TVs.
I mainly bought this because I like most of this developer's games, but as noted before only buy this if you can catch a massive sale. At full price it is not worth it. Only buy if you can get it for $3 or less or for free via a gift. Great in concept but not so much in execution.
