What a wonderful and charming adventure!
It wears its influences on its sleeve, and has a lot of love for them. The tutorials are very charming, offering you ways to learn through both prose and poetry, without flooding you with information at the start. Alongside the main quest, you have side quests influencing your exploration of the lands, leading you to lands off the beaten path, with side-activities in every corner.
The weapons are varied and the combat is rather fluid, and though the camera can be a bit wonky at times, it was never in the way of my enjoyment. Stamina management is pretty harsh at the beginning, forcing you to take your time with combat, but that's what levelling is for, which is very souls-like in its implementation.
All in all, despite not having many hours just yet, I found the experience overall very charming and entertaining. I can't wait to get back in my adventure with Hugo at my side!
