Bladekisser is a DLC for Trepang2 that adds 2 new side missions, more combat simulator maps, and as you'd guess, 3 new weapons. The other 2 weapons (revolver and machine gun) can be found early, but the titular sword is a very late-game weapon, you'd be able to pick it up in the final mission. The sword adds a new playstyle, where you must go up-close and slice up enemies. It's very powerful, and can kill unarmored enemies in 1-2 hits, and an instakill if charged.
This DLC adds 2 new side missions which took place before the ending, so if you want you can play it before finishing up the main mission. Compared to the base game's side missions, these are longer by comparison. TF63 Command Center is a mission which explores another task force's base under attack, and in Omega Facility you explore your enemy's offshore base. The latter is one of the more interesting missions in the game, and kinda expands on the game's ending "twist". However, I find the sword greatly useful in these levels, so you could also play it after the ending.
Sadly, there are no new achievements tied to finishing the DLC levels, but I highly recommend buying Trepang2's Deluxe Edition which includes this DLC, as more levels are always fun. And the sword would be an interesting way to change up your playstyle, whether it's replaying missions, especially those with tight arenas which it excels at, or doing combat sims.

Love the weapons, and the levels are pretty good. There are real use cases for all the DLC weapons, which is really nice.
