Tough as nails, IV2 is great fun. I played on the "True" setting and had a great time. I think the dual protagonist set-up provides a great incentive to roleplay and switch up your play stile. I had a blast switching between being a stealthy ghost + apex predator.

Intravenous 2 is one of the best games i've ever played, the gameplay is insanely good both for stealth and guns blazin' loud, everything from the sound design of the guns to the INCREDIBLE music this game has is just beautiful, and it enhances every level to its peak, the story is fun and engaging for all the campaigns, and it keeps you well motivated to keep going besides the gawd damn awesome MEATY gameplay. The game can be hard, but it's not tedious it's a well-balanced challenge on every level it expects you to find your own solutions since you have an incredible amount of freedom on how to approach each mission like myself im not always a big fan of stealth, but this game actually made me start doing missions stealthily due to how fun it is to outsmart the enemies AND when you get into a gunfight hooo boy you better be ready cuz the game will not hold your hand you have a LOT of gear to choose for each mission prepare to your preferred approach wisely or ya know get shot to hell and back. Anyways i FUCKING LOVE this game, an impressive evolution of the formula of the first game, incredibly made buy it. play it. love it.

i learned about this game from family friendly youtuber seeth, fun game, a huge amount of romance and action. The stealth is amazing and really fun to deal with tbh. However in the DLC which is a remake of the first game the five minute sex scene between you and Accomplice where he bounces on it and moans like a woman (with audio) is quite a bizzare twist in the story before leaving you in the middle of the night for another Gun For Hire... Also the music if fucking amazing!

I really love this game. I love the mechanics and the difficulty as well as the quantity of content it has. However it would be nicer if we could play more with Gideon the mercenary. I really liked him more because he doesn't pretend to be morally superior to anyone else in his profession and just does his job. Great work anyways.

Fantastic 2D top-down tactical stealth action game. You play as an assassin, going through levels of patrolling enemies to complete objectives or wipe them all out. You can choose between lethal and non-lethal means, progressing through large, complex levels with total stealth, loud gunfights, a mix of both, or something in between. There's an emphasis on the fine details of your approach. [list] [*] You can purchase better weapons, attachments, and gadgets (or even acquire them in the field) to design the best loadout for your playstyle. [*] Lighting and sound are important factors in stealth. Taking out lights, adjusting your movement speed (there are 5 levels of movement speeds!), and considering how loud your weapon is are among the many things you have to keep in mind. [*] Enemy AI can be quite unforgiving when suspicious. They are much more reactive and tactical than in many other games from this genre, but they still make sense in a way that makes them fun to outsmart, rather than just frustrating. [*] The way your approach affects the outcome of the story is much more forgiving than in many games with a moral choice system. Lethal force does not necessarily lead to bad endings - context of who you use it against is important. [/list] Definitely one of the more difficult games I've played. Lots of retries. You will have more fun learning to alter your approach rather than save-scum, although I admit I had to do a lot of the latter on higher difficulties. The writing is grittier than in my usual choice of games, but fits the game's style well. I did find the characters to often be very one-dimensional, while spouting off edgy dialogue to a point that sometimes made it difficult to take the setting seriously. The dialogue system also seems underused - would have liked to see more choices that could have had an impact on later levels. But ultimately, the story did carry my interest to the end. I highly advise getting the IV1 Remaster DLC, which is just a remake of the first game in a new engine, because the two games feel like two halves of one proper story and the best experience is really just to play it all the way through.

Can not recommend this game ENOUGH! In a wasteland of gormlessness that is today's gaming industry Intravenous is like a time traveling experience. Takes great mechanics from OG franchizes like Splinter Cell and Hotline Miami (which btw is WILD mix) and imporves upon them somehow! Seriously. IIn my opinion this game uses sound and lighting slightly better than Splinter Cell used to do. I also love the way you can impose dread into your enemies to provoke friendly fire incidents. Only time I experienced something like that was in the Mark of Ninja and it was a specific script that transitioned enemies into specific state. In intravenous that is implemented seamlessly. Superb work! Catching someone slipping in the dark losing their weapon and finnishing them off is truly unique experience. Mad respect to Roman Glebenkov for creating this masterpiece! And huge respect for the choice for OST. This music is so sick, listening to it after finnishing the game is another great experience in itself.
