The game has a nice concept but the bugs kill it. Here are some highlights.
You cannot win defense missions. Every 3rd mission or so is a defense mission. They are super easy and boring. But even if you win it counts as a loss and you lose the last tile you conquered on the campaign map.
You cannot buy the soldier's veteran upgrade. Instead you can buy the evasion upgrade as often as you want, wasting upgrade points, and of course it will only count the first time.
You cannot move less than the maximum number of steps your unit has, unless your only leftover move would be going back to the previous tile.
With a soldier, if you move through the enemy base instead of onto it, you do not conquer it.
If there is only one available tile left on the campaign map, it may become unclickable. Thankfully this is a bug with a workaround. You can still trigger the battle by moving the marker around on the map with the keyboard.
My guess is this is a school project and the developer moved on without any real testing.
