The game is a technical nightmare because despite a modern version of the game, it's still busted as hell. Turning on D3D8to9 breaks all textures and renders characters invisible. The game also somehow looks worse than the Episode 3 game (Same devs) and Indiana Jones: Emperor's Tomb (Also same devs). I wish I could actually be able to play the game, but it's so chock full of bugs to even stand it for too long. If it's not the visuals breaking, it's the ui because the graffiti/inventory menu is stuck in the top left with no way to fix it. Avoid this game.

This used to be a GREAT ORIGINAL game back then, loved it, played it & finished it without issues like 15y ago... well, sadly, can't say the same about this Steam version which idk wtf it is but is very buggy & almost unplayable, camera movements + sensitivity giving you head pains while there are no settings to tweak them, tips in game many times has nothing to do with what actually for interactions you have to do bcs are something else required to press & do. I wish that someone would remake this game with the original sounds & vibes but to be completely playable on 2025+ systems ! Get it when is on sale, worth to have this gem, somehow with some tweaks must be played but atm no nervs for that....

An absolute gem of a classic that I remember playing over a decade ago. Nothing quite like it. Sadly it can be pretty buggy on modern systems. Not a very good port which holds it back a lot.

Great game that reminds me of the Warriors. Only bad thing about this is that the mouse sensitivity is fucked up. To fix that, go to Marc Ecko's Getting Up 2\engine\vars_pc and change mousespeed to -0.450000. Then go to _bin and rename the "launcher" to "launcher1" and "Getting up" to "launcher" because if you don't do that, the mouse sens will reset. Other than that, if you love grafitti, get the game.

Playing through it again as an adult, this game was a core foundation of my childhood. One of the few games i had on the PS2 and i enjoyed it thoroughly, beating it after much hardship. That being said: -The soundtrack is amazing, aside from the stand out licensed music of classic hip-hip and underground rap tracks as well as the soul and funk songs included the games score itself is well tailored to the environments and situations. -The strongest and most obvious strength of this game is the grafitti artwork and the faithful representation of various real world graf artists and the various concepts relating to graf culture; such as gangs, vamping, subway bombing, and the greater narrative of using this artwork to transcend self and create a powerful message that may be able to change public perception. -The combat is decent but on PC the camera controls are lackluster, the combat mechanics for the era were well implemented but now feel dated, as is natural, but the camera and the jankiness of that where the real problem rears its head. There are times of genuine frustration as Trane incorrectly targets an enemy or the camera is stuck in a wall. It is remedied by repositioning in combat often but feels like it shouldn't be as much of an issue as it is. Overall i would recommend this game to anyone interested in graf culture and a dystopian anti establishment world. The tagging mechanics are really one of a kind and difficulties with the camera and combat aside its worth a delve into its interesting dynamics.
