Rougelike package delivery! Actually very charming and the most of the achievements are funny when they happen unexpectedly

Cute and fun little package-delivering roguelite! It gets very tense and keeps you on your toes.

An adorable game that can actually be made pretty challenging depending on the effects you're given after each day. Pretty fun and I can see myself revisiting in the future, good work~

What a charming little ... roguelite puzzle game? That's certainly something unique. I always feel like a genius after plotting a course, arranging the packages in a creative systematic way, and then not forgetting what it was. Favorite part though is the music, so wonderfully catchy.

Honestly, I wasn't expecting to think that this would be my kind of game. I stumbled upon it through such a complex web of links and random exploration that I though this would just be some 'play for five minutes and refund' kind of game. What I got instead was a game with an adorable, unique artstyle(that someone watching over my shoulder also thought was adorable), and a very simple but surprisingly tight gameplay loop. While I only beat the game once at the time of this review, I literally completed it, no mistakes, with less than 8 seconds left on the clock for the last day. I obviously made little mistakes, but the timer seems to be completely accurate to make the last day a genuine challenge of memorization and planning. Will this be my game of the year? No, probably not. Will it be a game I play endlessly? No, probably not. However, will I think positively of this charming, adorable little puzzle rogue-like game, swing by every now and then for an enjoyable time, and suggest it to my friends as a great little time waster? Definitely. This was a wonderful little bite sized game, and I hope to see more from this developer!

Excuse me, can I leave support questions here? Because I'm at my wit's end — since playing this game, every package I receive has little paw prints on it. I didn't think anything of it at first, but then I noticed ... little furry red faces watching me when I walk the dog. I dare say, I think the local foxes are monitoring me and my Amazon purchases. Is there an opt-out feature? Because their adorable little faces are very distracting.

I expected the cute art style. I expected to be delivering packages. I did not expect the music to be as dynamic as it was. It was actually very nice. There were many times where hearing the droning piano helped remind me of the porch pirates and the happy notes reminded me to get a signature. Some of the achievements are quite silly and the art is very adorable. Seeing the little animals happy with hearts because they got their boxes gives me glee and fills me with fuzziness. I didn't even notice that I played for over an hour when I booted it up expecting to play for a bit while waiting on someone. I think that's the sign of a successful game. Recommended! (I am not biased for the game having an arctic fox. I mean this.)
FoxMania: The Quest To Review All Fox Games On Steam!
Conditions for inclusion:

The player character must be consistently a fox; the fox must not be merely a skin or a character option
Must have 100% working Steam achievements
Must not be a visual novel
Game #23: Foxcrate From the maker of, I kid you not, Slender: The Eight Pages and Slender: The Arrival, comes... ...Probably the most wholesome game I've ever played. And no, before you ask, there's no surprise twist and it's not secretly a subversive horror game like DDLC. This game is exactly what it looks like! (Although, to be fair, it does have a certain sense of horror to it, in its own right...) This is a job stress simulator, kinda the same genre as Diner Dash. And good grief, you'll never see a job stress simulator look any more adorable! Gameplay is about as simple as it gets. You're given a bunch of crates, a bunch of random houses on the map, and limited time to deliver each crate to the correct house. Deliver all the crates in the time limit, and you survive the day. At the beginning of the day, you must pack all the crates into the back of your truck. Be mindful of the order you pack them, or you might have to shuffle them around a lot in order to find the correct box that you need. Then you have to drive to each house (for some reason, the Foxcrate company has permission to ignore roads and private property and drive in straight lines wherever it wants). Basic performance comes down an intuitive understanding of the Travelling Salesman problem. Survive the day, and you'll have to make three additional deliveries the following day. Also, you'll be forced to choose an "anti-perk" that will make the rest of the game harder, such as traffic jams to slow down your truck, chatty customers who stall you after delivering their package, fragile deliveries that break if they're shuffled around too much... and a handful of other unpleasant surprises. there are about 20 really annoying yet really creative anti-perks, and you'll be forced to make a choice between two of them at the end of every day. Survive a whole week, delivering about 84 packages total, and you win the game. Gameplay is extremely repetitive, but that's kind of the point. The thought of losing and having to do everything over again makes it super stressful. It's easy to have a genuine panic attack when you misplace a box and have to scramble to find it. But because of that, it feels great to make intelligent decisions and execute your plans correctly, and it's such a sweet sense of relief when you finish the day with seconds to spare. It's a perfect example of a game that's not fun to play, but fun to beat, and why sometimes that's just as good. And the entire time, you'll be staring at super cute crayon drawings, listening to the stupidly catchy music, and saying "Awww!" every time you see a happy customer hug their box. There's almost no content here, but heck, I've really fallen in love with this game. It's a heartwarming reminder of how, with the right execution and presentation, the simplest of ideas can make for a compelling challenge. I'll give this game a 4 / 10! Mostly because of its lack of content and its unfun-by-nature gameplay. But it's probably the strongest, most-recommended 4 / 10 I've ever given. Big thumbs up. You'd better believe I'm going to get all the achievements in this game, and I can't wait to see if AgentParsec wants to add anything more!
