Ultimately I think Motel Manager Simulator is a solid game - it has a bunch of solid management mechanics that a simulator of those sorts should have.
The menu greets you with an obnoxiously loud sound of rain that you can not stop, or perhaps that's the sound of the dev team cooking up their new game?
Either way, you're introduced into the world by some AI generated Agent 47 wannabe - clean this place up and voila, you're now the captain of this ship.
Like I mentioned before, there is a healthy amount of things for you to do and manage. Upgrades to your Motel (that you can give a custom name to), building more rooms, a gas station, a shop, few other things as well - all expandable.
Manage your advertisements, place appliances in each room and in the store, decorate, clean, wash, unpack, check-in and out customers and all the other good stuff.
Hire employees to do some work as well.
Sadly, after a while you will get to the point where the game basically plays itself, and that may or may not take away from the game to some people. Personally, I would be a lot more okay with it if for example the check-in and out process was maybe a little more in-depth perhaps?
What we have here is okay at the start but at the later stages of the game I find it may be more interesting if perhaps you can get an upgrade or something that would require for you to check some sort of papers during check-in, kind of like Papers, Please. I'm not sure how realistic that would be, but the whole way through the game I had this particular itch that I feel could be scratched here, but it never did :<
Time to bring out the negatives!
-There's only 2 maps here, and they're basically the same map. I see no difference at all, other than the fact that one is green, and the other is sand. Much wow. They play the exact same, motel looks the exact same, customers and employees look the exact same, I'm pretty sure the cars also look the exact same.
-Graphics are okay on one hand, but on the other - some customers come to desk looking like they're 6 generations deep in hardcore drugs and incest breeding, making you realise how FU*KING ugly this sh*t is xd
-The performance (mainly during end-game again) is just terrible. Oh, your NASA beast of a machine doesn't break a sweat playing Cyberpunk 2077 with maxed out graphics, Path Tracing at 4k? That's cute, because just the sheer amount of NPC's (I think?) in Motel Manager Simulator will make your PC squeal like a pig in a slaughterhouse. Yup, 30fps gameplay it is baby :*
-I mentioned both maps are the same, but to be fair - on the desert map, there's a bug where one room in particular makes it so the customer gets fully stuck on the stairs during check-out, and you can not push them out or reset them, even on reload, which means they get a hold of the room for eternity.
-The game is basically abandoned at this point.
Truth be told, I like this game! It has basically all you would want from a game like this, even if the end-game is too dull. It's fun, just janky as hell, utilises some marketplace assets and doesn't receive and more fixes or content updates unfortunately. I can still recommend it for what it is, but it could absolutely be a lot better at the end of the day.

i recommend this game to all the players who like manager, tycoon and designing games. But i do not recommend this game to people who dont like stress games, since it is a bit stressful once you start. Overall, i give it 9\10

My only complaint is when you have a lot of boxes, or, a fully upgraded store with stocked shelves - the shop gets the a little bit laggy. Otherwise 10/10 game, spent many hours building up my hotel, shop, and fuel station. Best part is k*lling the robbers and disposing of their b*dies in the sulphuric acid.

I like the premise of this game. However, it hasn't had a major update in months. I feel as though DLC is needed or maybe even add more furniture/walls/flooring ect. After a few hotel rooms, it feels as though we're using the same stuff over and over again. Other than that, the game is fun and enjoyable.

The game is enjoyable and has a lot of potential; however, it seems like the developers have forgotten about it. The last update was on February 22, 2025. I would recommend spending your money elsewhere—on a game where the developers are more active and committed. There are bugs that persist, and whether you report them or not, they don’t get fixed or patched.
