I really want to like this game, but unfortunately there's not much /to/ like.
Aesthetically, it's art style is cohesive, beautiful. The assets all fit well to the world, but then you see those same assets again and again and again and again and again and again...
Now you're saying, 'hold on, all games repeat assets.' Yes, yes they do. But they also have more than just randomly placed trees and rocks.
I hear exploration, I see this game, and I think: Standing stones, Grand old oaks, Fallen ruined signs of civilisations past, Overgrown & rotting trees, rings of mushrooms.
Without these things, without points of interest or signs of life the game provides no satisfaction, no curiosity...
Point A -> point B -> Get lost -> Point B -> Point C -> Point D -> Get lost -> Game ends abruptly.
Let's look at the features section:
"🍃 A captivating and immersive overgrown world."
(I've been more captivated by a literal cap. Plus, only one part felt overgrown, but that's because I got stuck on two trees that were too close together.)
"🦊 Play as a courageous fox on a vital quest."
(Walking unhindered up then down a hill doesn't require that much courage.)
"🌟 Uncover the secrets of the ancient fox."
(I assume finding the ancient fox in a big featureless forest is what you're talking about.)
"🎨 Stunning art and enchanting soundtrack."
(Yes, this game is fantastic visually, but one song does not make a soundtrack.)
Before i wrap up, there's an 'attacking' animation, but nothing to attack, a jumping animation, but it's only needed right at the end of the game before it cuts to black. I would have loved to hunt some rodents but none were to be found.
Anyway:
Feels unfinished, even for the price. I'd love to re-try if it had more time in the oven, as I love love love walking sims & games where you can play as an animal.
As it is, I cannot at all suggest this game.
