This loco is fantastic! Not only can it pull twice the load of the 4f, but it has amazing animation and sound features! I would recommend it to anyone who likes plain yet strong engines

The engine is well designed and looks great, if you're struggling up a hill and open the regulator all the way sparks come out of the stack. It's worth the money.

Lovely addon of a war engine. Lots of cool features, and I love the rolling stock that's included. The career mode is absolutely challenging, and has some neat effects going on. My only gripes are the model of the Southern varient from within the cab has a bit more removed from the front end which becomes apparent quickly with a TrackIR, and the cabs are quite dark. Other than that, highly recommended.

I actually like this loco but unfortunately there is one negative thing, the scenario named "Bulleid Sunset" it feels broken because when you arrive at the Bath Green Park (I think) the task 13 is not responding\, Yes, I stop just as the task said but it didn't respond so I backup to the next task and then: "Operational Error" this is very frustrating Overall: despite the broken scenario, I still recommend this if you like steam locomotives and this class

I am a big rail and history fan. This DLC for the 'Ugly Duckling' is great and it has the great detail the real Q1 has. Like the cab and the wheels and the rods. As the train was built on a budget in WW2 so the train only had vital things on it and this has all those things. I really recommend this add-on great work :).

The scenarios included with the Q1, especially the first two, are some of the best I've seen. The first two scenarios portray the wartime environment better than I thought anything in TS could. The wagons included are also excellent, not to mention the engine. One of the best DLC items overall.

I have a lot of time in real life with my youth and this engine and it's work. I can't use this 'pro' model because it's far too dark in texture to see anything in cab and track-side to operate. It's like a ninja replica or Dracula's howler of the night. Surely a better texture composite is available to show a realistic hue and acceptable quality should be possible for these pricey downloads by now? My well proven system balance is fine with every other of my hundred or so models so what is this, everything concerned with world war editions has to be 'jet black' they weren't. Lighter greys work in the darker colours for textures and more intrinsic cab ambient lighting would be helpful. Very disappointed with something I was hoping for. Don't be deluded by their highlighted screenshots if you buy this! This was the 'coffee pot' from America for the southern region!

I've owned this train for only a few hours and I've driven it twice but I can already tell that it'll likely become one of my favourites in Train Simulator. It's also liable to be a good introduction to steam power, a field I'd avoided almost entirely until now, partly out of fear, and partly out of not having had the money. Now that I (more or less) own the vast majority of all other stock which interests me (aside from a handful of British routes), I think I could bear to have a couple steam routes and stock to spare. So, I picked both this and the Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway up from the March Madness sale. I'm utterly blown away. This train is...let me explain. I come from flight sims. They're sort of primarily what I do, more or less. My primary occupation. Within them, I like to fly a VAST assortment of aircraft, but I got my start flying warbirds, mostly those from the Second World War. Whereas a contemporary or even Cold War aircraft will not tell you what's happening but will rather indicate it, a warbird will tell you by *feel.* For example, if you get hit in an A-10C, you'll have a row of lights telling you, more or less, what's wrong. Sure, you'll have to adapt your handling of the airframe (provided it's still airworthy) to the consequences of either poor luck or poor decision making, but you've some informational foundation on WHY you're experiencing what you're experiencing. In a warbird...you don't get that. You get raked with a crop of gunfire. Your engine seizes. You've a few seconds to maybe a minute to figure out a series of extremely mechanical controls. You restart it. You get it to work, but...it *sounds* wrong, it *feels* wrong. And just like that, by being one with the machine you're flying rather than it being an interface you interact with, you're able to feel your way through and forward. The Bulleid Q1 is just like that. It's exactly like that, in fact. It's a sensory experience, of slowly, deliberately incrementing a series of reasoned parameters based on an assortment of guidelines in order to achieve an end result. For the most part, the percentages on the HUD are meaningless. You've to listen, to feel, to experience the engine to get what you're after. It'll try to kill you, initially. All good machines worthy our respect do - and when you tame it, you'll know. She'll basically tell you. And I know that, to probably a fair few people reading this, that sounds insanely pretentious and probably a wee on the mystical horseshit side. But seriously, try it. If not in this, then in a warbird in IL-2. I will say this: One and a half hours in, and this is a several-day job to master, with a few weeks tacked on for us who are steam-challenged. So be ready for that. She's detailed, she's noisy, she's loud, and she's temperamental. The manual is sizeable. But...be ready for a great deal of autodidactic learning. 9/10, worth the dosh. Bloody good job, lads.

Holy Moley what a pack
The Bulleid Q1
Pros * Fabulous Model * Little details such as sparks from chimney and wheelslip really sell it * Looks lovely on practically every route Cons * Lackluster whistle * Like 14xx, high speeds sometimes do sound like its having aheart attack, but does get better at around 30mph Q1 = 9/10
Wagons
Pros * Original * Loads of awesome wagons, from tanks to howitzer guns * Amazing Models Cons * None Wagons = 10/10
Scenarios
Pros * Spitfires flying past... OMG * Realistic Movements * The effects are gorgeous Cons * Can be difficult Scenarios = 9.5/10
Overall
Despite all the cons in this pack, i still enjoy it more than most other victory works packs, so this is a 10/10 from me

I have... a lot, of DLC for this game, to say the least, and the Bullied Class Q1 is by far my favorite. First off, it's fairly toaster-friendly which is a huge plus on my slow as dirt laptop, and it manages to be very detailed at the same time. Second, if you're a huge fan of the actual Q1 as I am, this is about as picture-perfect of a model for it as you're gonna get, right down to the visible internals between the boiler and the wheelbase. The wheel-slip is simulated well, and the scenarios that it comes with range from sort of hard to brutally hard, so they'll keep you busy for a while. Admittedly I'm not the *world's* most experienced virtual driver but I had trouble with them at least. Now it's no secret that TS2015 DLC is stupidly overpriced, and I got this on sale for ten bucks and feel I got my money's worth on it. If you really like the Class Q1 in all its utilitarian glory, I could see someone dropping twenty for it and not feeling too ripped off, but as with just about everything in this game unless money isn't an object for you it's a better deal on sale. That all said, if you're on the fence about this one, absolutely get it. It's a blast to quick drive and I've certainly gotten my money's worth out of it. Easily one of the best DLC's for TS2015, and one of the few I can honestly give a 10/10 to. There just isn't anything not to like.
