Review at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_W4wa5Vt7uU Well this game is not balanced well and seems to make you lose super fast. As for title 'Defence," I am not sure if the name was intentionally spelt wrong.

they need to hotfix the way they made the armor, bosses are unkillable no amount of upgrading helps. Armor is quite literally immune to any form of damage...fix pls EDIT: ISSUE HAS BEEN FIXED, GAME IS COMPLETELY PLAYABLE AND FULLY ENJOYABLE! MUCH WORTH!

I finished the game in 2h. The game concept is quite cool, but it was mega easy to complete. I wish the devs will add more stuff to it. I'm ok with 2h of gameplay for 4$, yet i wish for more.

Unsure if the game balance was changed since the other reviews, but - the game is actually fairly easy. Possibly too easy; I "beat" it without realizing it, only realizing I had finished the current content when my crystal count stopped going up. (It appears to have happened somewhere between 20 and 30 minutes into a round.) Overall, the game has promise, and is worth playing around in, but is clearly not "done" yet; the content that is there is fairly entertaining, and I definitely got my $3 worth, but it could use more content and some minor rebalancing to polish out some of the roughness. The basics are pretty solid; you have a wide variety of towers, each of which gets special effects from other towers (of the same kind) within its radius. You slowly accumulate gold over the course of each run, which you can use to buy new towers, and you get crystals as you defeat enemies, which can be used for a meta-progression to buy new types of towers, upgrade the towers, but also things like the number of crystals you get after killing enemies, the rate at which your gold increases, and the frequency / odds of getting special "per-round" power-ups whenever you build a new tower. As you beat bosses for the first time, you get permanent, if modest, power-ups. The major con, in my opinion: There's no reason to build multiple tower types, because the synergy bonuses they get by being next to one another are far greater than the benefits you might get from staggering tower types. Additionally, each tower type you bring into a game dilutes your pool of power-ups, which will face a pretty hard upper limit as each tower built is more expensive than the last. The inability to increase the speed on the game is a major detriment; the early game in particular involves a lot of waiting. Some tips for the developer: I'd make the cost increase be per-tower-type, and possibly make the tower synergies apply to all the other towers; maybe a fire tower increases the damage of all towers in radius, and the volcano tower has an even stronger effect like this, but has a lower radius. This would make a greater variety of towers more interesting, and useful, for the player. Right now it seems like the ideal strategy is "Build a circle of towers around your crystal, building the top and bottom crystal first (as enemies spawn exclusively from the left and right, the top and bottom tower have the hardest time killing things to level up). Let them level up, boost maximum targets, and then leave them. Only when the first circle of towers has at least one spare upgrade, proceed to build a circle around the first circle, and only when this is complete, upgrade the range of the inner circle by one. Boost the maximum targets of the outer circle. Repeat. The dense thicket of towers, all augmenting each other, become an impenetrable wall of death, and the only enemies that can pose a threat, the ranged wizards, are only a threat until you do meta-upgrades on the range and damage of the towers. Arcane towers in particular, fully upgraded, can clear the map to the edges through the splitting mechanic, even while nominally doing only 4 damage per hit; there may or may not be a bug whereby critical hits in the splitting mechanic "propagate" down the line, as I not infrequently saw them doing 400+ damage out of their base damage of 4. Additionally, the power ups that convert crystals to gold, and gold to crystals, should give a proportion of the converted resource, as opposed to a proportion of the resource you already have; you're usually low on gold, and often high on crystals, so the gold-to-crystal conversion power-up, for example, can easily net the player a few thousand crystals for the cost of 15 gold, and the crystal-to-gold conversion is almost never worth taking as you've probably just spent all your gold building the tower that gave you the power-up in the first place. (Although you could probably do some clever min-maxing, you don't actually need to in the current state of the game.) If the game difficulty is expanded, I'd recommend crystals be usable in-game to increase the maximum level of your towers, or to buy levels outright.

Good concept, was fun for a little bit but I just put lightning towers and won pretty easy. After 30 minutes you stop getting money or crystals it just keeps on going forever. I had the game open for 2 hours and nothing after 30 mins. Needs to be some kind of hard stop at 30 minutes if you don't have an endless mode
