I'm pleasantly surprised the game has an english translation. It's a generic rhythm game but it has a nice aesthetic and the story is intriguing, the songs are ok, the character interactions are very cute and funny, I love KAFU. Also the mapping of the songs is good and fun to play. I think the game is worth the price, but a $100 DLC? I definitevely wouldn't and won't buy that.

tldr > addictive gameplay, decent story, cutes characters, low price. if you enjoy 7k charts and a bit of storytelling featuring cutes girls, or you just like kaf/kafu, you'll like the game. detailed review > - chart fading in and out between 5k and 7k is pretty fun and unique, but should've had a stronger indicator whenever the side lanes appear. not a massive dealbreaker for me, just catches me offguard if i'm not paying attention. - charts are somewhat challenging, enough to be fun. although difficulty values aren't very accurate, like a chart shown to be lower difficulty than quite a few other songs yet is many times harder (though keep in mind i've only played hard and pro difficulty songs). - there's an obvious difference in quality between the charts, the more wellmade charts are of course a lot more fun. - love the song selection included in the base game, love the lobby theme. dlcs are really pricey.. or maybe i'm just broke. - UI is unique and i like it quite a bit, but i've heard a lot of complaints on it so maybe it's just preference. - i haven't gotten that far into the story, and i'm someone who tends to skip over stories the moment they start getting boring, but i've been pretty committed to it. story seems pretty decent so far, and the characters are adowable🤍 - i've only owned the game for a day but i've been playing for hours and having lots of fun. - and yes there's a proper working note offset/delay setting don't worry👍 - i rarely write out reviews so this game has my wholehearted approval🤍 i love kaf and kafu
