Its a great, short game with atmosphere and mystery. the game play loop could use a little more variety though. The ending is the real seller.

Really wierd game, on par for Critical Reflex.
If you enjoyed Mouthwashing you'd probably enjoy this. Sound design is good, though limited replayability.

Check point softlock. Usually a good idea to put saves in portions of the game where continued play is possible.
Used multiple air canisters on the elevator call because it wasn't working, died for an unrelated reason at which point I had no air canisters. Right after the air break checkpoint its required to blow the whistle 3 times in a row, which is impossible on a single breath, and i tried i could not run back to building 2 in time. Which means the save is broken and I'd have to restart the game if i was invested enough to keep playing. How did this make it pass qa testing?

Honestly... dissapointing
I expected: choices that matter, varied interesting gameplay, layered plot with deep lore and many mysteries to uncover/think about
Fast forward, nothing of it is true and I'm so sad about buying the game I feel like I have to write a negative review. Choices don't matter, the gameplay is repetative with crippled simple half-baked mechanics, the plot seems captivating at first until you realize there's nothing behind the cover. It's also not a horror, it hardly scares. Except for the atmosphere, concept and partially design, the game is very shallow, boring and just not worth it.
You will waste 1-2 hours of your life to receive a preachy leftist message about
veganism (from a non-vegan)
. That's literally it.
Also, it's very funny to read developer's interview online where he says he wanted to create a "unique" game. Well, there's a whole subgenre of short 1 hour games with low poly graphics where you do a mundane, usually corporate job in limited space and contact to people just for some horror-style ending. Maybe it's just my bubble, but there wasn't anything fresh about this game.
If you wanna play something similar but actually good just play Iron Lung.

i wanted to like this game. ultimately the bugs make this game not worth the time and money. the gameplay and narrative aren't really worth it either honestly. it felt like they were going for shock value and pushing a message at the end (
saying this as someone who was vegan for 15 years lol so if this was going to resonate with anyone it should have been me
), and everything just kind of felt like... nothing? too many unanswered questions, poor world building, kinda felt like they just wanted to make One Of These Games and slap their ideals on it. which can be done well, but this wasn't. i hope to see better games from this team in the future, i do believe they have the skills, there were plenty of good building blocks here.

7.5/10 Neat little gem I'm very happy to have found. The developer behind the game is an awesome person to talk to as well. This game is a tense, moody, and dark psychological adventure that is visually and sonically grim. And leaves more to the imagination than you might think. Always more questions... It has a cool unique Country-Based difficulty system where the highest mountain determines the fate of your game, too. Give it a try if you have 2-3 hours to get drawn into the mystery.

average boring video game protagonist monologue: I can't leave this area until I've saved them all. I....I must. It's my duty. No matter where those monsters may be hiding, I will destroy them all.
the interesting and complex THRESHOLD protagonist monologue: heeeeeeeeugh uhfffffffffff HEUUUUUUUUUGH UFFFFFFFFF HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH HEEEEEEEEEEEEEH huf HEEEEEEEEEEUGH UHFFFFFFFFFFF
