I liked the game but it fell short in comparison to some other incremental type games for me. No upgrade you ever get feels like it changes your loop, it just makes your dps higher. And while the store page does warn about there not being multiple builds, the build there is didn't feel like it ever changed anything at all - you just do more damage quicker - which then doesn't matter because your enemies get more HP. It just does a little too less. I think there are some nice ideas here, the execution just fell a little short for me. Do I regret playing it? No, not really - it's just 3 bucks and I finished in just about 2 hours. Just one thing for 100% completioners, after finishing to get the last achievement just click on continue in the main menu, not on new game.

Love the game! For 3 dollars, its worth it for sure in my opinion. I just wish it had more levels, maps, prestiges, (maybe it could start over with bigger numbers) classes, weapons, buffs... It could totally have leaderboards, splitscreen co-op? maybe even making your own dungeon so others can raid? Progress could be waaaaay slower so people could grind, maybe with quests... So much is possible for the game... Hope it gets more content updates. If they make a sequel with more content or longevity in the game I'm down to buy again for sure! I'm just sad it ended quickly =,( Hope this helps...

Really good pacing for an incremental game, just pretty short

It's 3 bucks so its not a bad buy to kill a day. The main issue is zero challenge. The game is just time gated until you get 95% of current upgrades to progress forward Its a cool concept but after the first 20 minutes, you've seen the whole game. Would buy a second one with more enemies with actual attacks, possibly a 3 lane system you teleport between instead of a room. Ability to win without max health upgrades etc.

This game was disappointing because not only does the trailer show everything that is in the game*, but the gameplay itself felt like the same short ~20 minute game repeated four times. At first, the gameplay was promising, starting with the most basic of upgrades; increasing attack power and max health. Unfortunately, it keeps this same progression system, barely adding a few mechanics that will eventually be rendered useless by the only useful upgrades: attack power and max health. I was getting a bit excited to see the gameplay branch out at prestige 1, seeing bleed and burn effects, until I saw the "add [a lot] of damage" upgrade be added, completely breaking the immersion. This does not only apply to upgrades; no new enemies are introduced, just the same zombies with bigger HP numbers (minibosses and bosses even shoot the same projectile pattern across prestige levels). In addition, the "prestige" mechanic, in practice, only introduces bigger numbers, multiplying coin gain by 10 and multiplying monster health by ~100 (also not to mention the "artificial tension" the game creates by locking upgrades behind the next prestige and making it barely** possible to complete the prestige level). If this game would have more variation, such as new mechanics (as I expected) while not having to introduce multiple playstyles according to the developer note on the store page and perhaps a change of scenery and monsters across prestige levels, I would recommend this game. There were only a few bugs; one is the player being able to pass through pillars, which makes those pillars effectively useless. *Not even true, as the trailer makes it look as if the player will be acquiring hundreds of millions of coins and thousands of gems, when in reality, it only really goes into the early hundreds of thousands of coins and mostly single-digit numbers of gems. **Not in a hard way, but in a way hoping luck is on your side.

Neat little incemental upgrade game, can finish it 100% in a few hours. If you like watching numbers get bigger, then this is an easy addition to occupy an afternoon. Jolly good show old chap!

Again i need a "mid" button from Steam. Since is only good or bad...i honestly can't recommend this game. In comparison with other incremental games, the gameplay of Row Divers is extremely plain and boring. The game didn't deserve the hours that you will need to complete it. There is no sense of reward other than complete the tree and achievements. It needs some other mechanics. I can appreciate the creativity that they put in this game, trying to do something different with incremental games, making it some sort of first person shooter (nothing like that), but the result...quite bad I only completed the game because i am a f****** sicko

Cute idea, it could be great. But it's not. The first 5 seconds of your gameplay will contain the entirety of what you will see in the game. The only thing that changes is that you do bigger numbers. No, being an idler or incremental game is not an excuse for have no game mechanics. Even cookie clicker has strategy.

Steam really needs a "yes but also no" button. tl;dr - if you're okay with a fairly monotonous 2-3 hour grind to complete this game then it's absolutely worth the price, but it doesn't hold up as a good clicker The core gameplay loop is brilliant and immediately draws you in. It runs well, the talents give you a decent sense of progression, and the price of the game is fairly cheap. However there are a lot of QoL features that a sequel could introduce and there are a lot of weird mechanics and progression milestones that I don't think fit all that well. The talent system feels good to use, but most of the talents (barring
the weapon upgrades between prestiges
) are the same iterations of "gain x health for y money" or "gain x damage for y gems". While it feels pretty decent to use, progressing into the talent tree becomes less enjoyable and exciting as you go on because it's the same. The prestige mechanic is another big problem, as its just the exact same row of enemies but with a bigger health value. This is improved with the last prestige but comes a bit too late. It would've been great to see even a small added variety of enemy types (especially since there's a bestiary) or at least some other change apart from that. The game itself is just a fairly long grind of starting, dying, upgrading, getting further, and repeating until you reach the boss and unlock new parts of the talent tree. It's only about 3 hours in total but it felt like a lot longer. ...also why introduce random pillars in the middle of the screen when you can just walk and aim through them? That feels a bit redundant. I love the idea of the game to bits and I really want a sequel or something else that builds on top of it, but there's too little to it and too many cons to recommend it above clickers that are either free or cost around the same.
