This DLC is fun and a real challenge for those who are looking to earn all the achievements.
For me and my achievement hunting partner it took easily a week to get them all!
Don't get me wrong, I love challenges, if they're called achievements it's for a reason!

Glitchy, short, unplayable when you want to complete achievements, a waste of your money

Short, frustrating and buggy.
The major battles are not clever, instead they overwhelm you with enemies. At times the game is so dark you can't see anything. Most frustrating of all is there are *no checkpoints*; if you wipe in a battle you have to start all over again from the beginning.
The final battle is kinda clever, and the game crashed when we finished it.

crashes randomly on singleplayer and very often on multi (doubt you will be able to finish it with whole team), there is a bug by the end of the story that softlocks you often and you either need to loose your useful items or have to start again whole thing.
the only cool things is that there are 3(?) new enemy types and that you can use Spray of Judgement magick in this (funnily enough if you use it on ghosts several times it might crash game), too bad enemies from this doesn't seem to be in challanges
and remember that this game is abandon-ware and crashes around every 30min
(base game and other stuff is still playable, even without patching at least on some PCs, but this shit is not worth buying)
IMO before they fix the fkn base game no point in buying this, PvP maps and gear packs with weapons & staves (that are only usable in challanges and PvP), not to mention fixing bugs/glitches in this DLC alone;
and if you really want to get all achievements then use steam achievement editor - me and other people bought this, you don't have to.

After having played every part of Magicka, I was looking forward for this DLC. The last DLC of Magicka? More continuation after the boss of Dungeons & Daemons?
So, I started the adventure. I had some videos and it seemed to be the start of an epic history: there was no fight, something was luring in the dark... then, I found some timid combats just to introduce the DLC.
Such a nice intro did I think. Unfortunately, the end of that intro was the end of the game.
PROS:
+Magicka scenerie!
CONS:
-15 min of gameplay (including cinematics)
-Very easy to complete even without coop
-Small number of combats
-Scarce story
-No Magicka jokes
-Weak diversity of strategic situations

Another incredibly short DLC (15-20 minutes) with hardcore crashes and unfortunately that’s all you need to know about this DLC. There isn’t anything else. No magicks other than haste, only one new pathetic enemy and a “boss”. Plus, game uses the same swarm tactic for this DLC. Buy it with a bundle if you want it so much.

Not worth it. Battles are frustrating rather than fun. Wouldn't buy again. Light on the comedy which made this game great. Waste of money.

What a pile of dogshit this DLC is. There are four fights total in the entirety of this DLC, all of which are only hard in a really lazy way (tons of enemies thrown at you, no magicks except for revive and haste). Not only that, but 2/3 times the last fight crashes for no reason. 1/10. Definitely not worth £3

I love Magicka, played through the main story half a dozen times and enjoyed all the DLCs, except for this one.
I'm sorry but this is an awful DLC that is either a joke or a ripoff that you should stay away from and here's why:
- Insultingly short. Can be completed by an average Magicka player in 15 minutes or less. Maybe if it would add anything else to the game except the campaign, it might give the DLC some value. Right now there is none.
- Serious game breaking bugs & crashes. Some cutscenes and actions make the camera & the player get stuck, forcing you to restart the game. Which of course restarts the DLC from the beginning as it doesn't save progress if you exit.
If you're choosing to buy extra content for the game, go for a different DLC or even some robes. If you already have everything but this DLC, don't bother.
