I have to say this was pretty disappointing. Not only did it keep crashing but a lot of the puzzles were too hard even with a walkthrough. The last puzzle doesn’t even let you get hints which is really frustrating because it’s a really difficult one. While I am a fan of the FMV style, the way they did it for this just didn’t work since it just feels bleak and looses the fun of the original.

Wonderful HARD game that I think has improved with age. In the age of “cozy” and easy gaming, this one will challenge your mind to points unknown. Some of these puzzles are crazy, and the AI is insanely difficult. Well worth it if you’re up to the challenge.

First off, technical things.
Yes, this can be played on a Steam Deck, but it won't play the background music. I'm not sure how to fix that.
Now then, for those that love these retro PC games, I say this is a overall good one. But does have the typical hard puzzles and riddles. With some you might be given a riddle, but to really solve it you must complete a puzzle in the same room. Some puzzles are frustrating.
There are hints the game will give you and there are skippable puzzles (which I've used a few.)
So try and figure out the Linux music issues and enjoy some cheesy horror.
Also, this game does have topic of 'unconsensual' acts. So there's a warning.

GARBAGE! Shouldn't need to download anything outside of this game to make it actually run. Game locks up on the stupid skulls screen. Original game was great, BUT, laziness on the dev's part, as it refuses to work on a simple Win10 machine.
