Short but sweet, 8/10 +Weapons +maps +graphics +intro -controls, auto-move is a blessing and a curse

After I started playing Digitanks, my life fell apart. It was around the time my cryptocurrency crashed. That was the final straw, and my wife left me. I crashed my car into a phone poll and was arrested for driving drunk. I stomped on the officer's toe and was denied bail. I was fired for not showing up at my job for two months. My supposedly-best-friend Pillboi robbed my house and took my Playstation. My dog knawed through his rope and ran into the woods and hasn't come back. None of this is Digitank's fault, though. Digitanks is a great game. You should play it.

Surprisingly funny for the genre, I wasn't expecting it. The UI and tutorial did a good job guiding me through the experience! Was able to play on my Steam Deck with no troubles. I'm not normally an RTS player but I did really enjoy this one.

Fun little strategy game that evokes feelings of Scorched Earth with more depth to it. Simple enough to pick up and play but definitely requires a bit of strategy to use positioning effectively. Worth it!

Good evening. It is I, TANKGAMEGUY! After twelve long years, Digitanks has finally arrived on Steam, which means that so have I! For how could I not revisit my old friend Digitanks, when I have such fond memories of playing it back in those long cold days of 2011? Its charming mix of classic trajectory-based warplay and flippant metahumor is truly what got me through my troubled sojourn as an itinerant lineman in Gothenburg. I just had to recommend it to every polycule in my hostel, and before you knew it, I had found my niche as TANKGAMEGUY, creator of content and recommender of products. I'm sure no scant few of you out there in Steamland have similar stories, and you don't need my recommendation to replay Digitanks. What new experiences will it yield, now that the clangorous stupefaction of youth has been swept from your pristine intellect? And for all of you who have never had the pleasure of playing Digitanks, I can say only one thing: you have never experienced a truer TANKGAME.

Digitanks is a fun turn based strategy game with old school PC gaming feels. The soundtrack and visuals have a cyberpunk style, kind of reminiscent of System Shock, but in a way that’s super relaxing instead of super terrifying. The gameplay is like Civ meets StarCraft, but with a “the world is a computer” theme, something like Introversion’s classic indie title “Darwinia”, though drawing less heavily from Tron. It’s all the kind of thing that I would have stayed up late every night playing with my old college roommates while eating Chinese fast food and donuts. Speaking of which, that sounds like a good time. What are you all doing wasting time with your clickbaits and your mukbangs? Pick up a copy of Digitanks and enjoy it as God intended, with a side of orange chicken, and an apple fritter.

Really short: the campaign is two short tutorial missions showing you the basics and nothing more than that (what is the third resource after energy and command cap? figure it out by yourself lol), then there's two skirmish maps, expect to see everything in 1-2 hours at most. Also the visuals are cool but drowned under an absurd amount of bloom and screenshake every time any unit fires: it took me a while to figure out shot trajectories are actually important because I literally couldn't see it happen, I only noticed when I tried firing through another unit and notice it had died after the SFX spam faded away.

for all the isometric gaming fans out there (starcraft, aoe, etc) this game is in your lane. A phenomenal game that emphasizes positioning, plan of attack and defense. a fun, layered battling system that is easy to jump right into and very rewarding. the multiplayer is a blast playing with friends. random generated maps that wont allow you to set your camp up the same way twice, so it will keep you on your toes. I recommend this awesome game!!

Digitanks is a labor of love, made by a good friend of mine. It feels very much like a 3d version of the old popular artillery/strategy games of the late 90's/early 00's - think Scorched Earth, Worms, Death Tank etc. Designed, developed, and created entirely by a single person as immersed himself in what he loved to do, (programming video games,) Digitanks delivers a blast of nostalgia for older gamers, and a window into the past for younger ones; reminding us of a simpler time of LAN parties, midnight releases, gaming magazines, and 733t 5p34k. Pick it up and enjoy it for the gameplay, or pick it up and enjoy it for the memories.

Fun cross between strategy and artillery. There's a short campaign, but the main focus is on playing against the AI, or online against your friends. You can skirmish tanks-on-tanks, or if you want a longer, more strategic game, you can build bases, take over territory, and build your army while managing resources.
