The moment I have set my fingers upon this virtual world that is called "POPUCOM", I have never felt such greater respect for a game company that dishes out masterpiece after masterpiece. From that day forward, I have shot and popped many balls. The magnificence to pick up, throw, and bonk creatures and objects from this world with multiple abilities the game has given me has opened my eyes to the possibilities of violence, but in a cute way. However, if you decide to embark and play this game with a friend, be prepared to be thrown off the deep, empty below and being catapulted into the unknown together. On the bright side, if you persist through it all, you might get to unlock a certain area where you gain the option to do more stuff with balls.

i really love this game actually. it's fun, easy-to-learn, and kinda chaotic since its co-op. another thins is that i like how the game is super colorful, and have cute character customization. imo the puzzles are straightforward but some are kinda tricky to solve, great for casual co-op. finding the stickers is a effing pain in the ass (or skill issue on our part lol), but i do wish that the devs would add a QOL thing for which stages still have the missing stickers or that yellow companion thingy, instead of having to guess or redo the whole stage for just the stickers. overall a fun game, i really didn't think i'd enjoy the game as must as i do :D

"Had potential, but multiplayer is broken and support is nonexistent." The game itself is enjoyable, though admittedly a bit on the simple side. That said, after a solid first session, my partner and I haven’t been able to connect online since launch, and we’ve tried every day. We’re literally in the same room, with solid internet, yet it constantly says “Can’t connect to server.” The fact that it’s multiplayer-only just makes it worse. Reached out in the official Discord and got zero response from the devs. Eventually had to refund it, can’t recommend a game that locks you out of the only way to play and then ignores support requests.

Wonderfully weird shooter-match3-puzzle-platformer game, highly recommend playing through with a partner (of at least some intellect). Could get somewhat stressful at times with fast paced puzzles and fights, but otherwise a really solid experience!

An Insanely Underrated Gem! We are only a couple hours in and already love what the game has to offer. POPUCOM is an insanely cute, charming, and vibrant co-op puzzle platformer reminiscent of titles like Split Fiction and It Takes Two . If you're drawn to the colorful, playful aesthetic of Splatoon and enjoy cooperative puzzle-solving, this game is a perfect match. The game is priced pretty decently as well as having fun and engaging gameplay, POPUCOM offers a lot of fun with a partner!

Got this game for myself (who one might call a gamer) and my girlfriend (definitely not a gamer) and we're both having fun playing it. Just finished the first world yesterday. It's a good mix of casual enough for her to enjoy but still enough to it that I have fun with it too. It gets a bit stressful for her, but it's an enjoyable level of intensity overall I think. Fun little co-op game for folks who enjoy some casual gaming, or have a partner who isn't that much of a gamer. The art style and setting reminds a bit of Splatoon

Cute and joyful game. The puzzles and boss fights in each level are very interesting. Nice online co-op game.

Great game, low price. Worth it. Requires 2 copies of game : one for story, two for party-mode (2x splitscreen + Remote play) Storymode: 2 players. about 15h+ gameplay + versus minigames that are replayable. Difficulty is more puzzle-thinking . No serious punishment for failing. Partymode: 3-4 players . Short Challenges. About 1-3h to clear . Puzzles extend a bit if you have 4 players. PROS: - Game is creative with it's mechanics and level design - Minigames using same logic are great - Runs well and Looks great - local/online co-op. - splitscreen with 2 pairs possible. - Steam Remote Play Together helps a lot. CONS: - Friends required. No online co-op with randoms. -Splitscreen only 2 players on partymode.
POPUCOM
I stumbled upon this game more or less by accident one evening, while hastily looking for some fresh co-op games to play with a friend for an hour or two while hanging out in Discord. We didn’t end up playing it that night because I couldn’t decide on a game, but I added it to my wishlist. I eventually played it later with another friend, and here’s what I realized. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3508674139 First of all, this is another hidden gem on Steam. Visually, it might actually be the weakest part of the game — and that might be why it never went viral but it’s absolutely a “Nintendo-style” game on PC, in the best sense of the word. For anyone who enjoys Josef Fares-style games, mini-games, and cooperative puzzles, I think this is a must-play. It’s a game I expected nothing from, yet it kept surprising me and my friend again and again. And let me tell you - this is definitely not just some easy “baby’s first game.” You will have to put in some effort. The story mode is super addictive, the mini-games are top-tier, and there’s also a party mode for 3–4 players (which I plan to try out later with friends). Overall, this game is not what it seems at first glance - the visual style might scare people off, but the gameplay is absolutely worth it. This is the true “Chinese Josef Fares” of the indie scene. Don’t sleep on it - it’s worth your time.
