Vampires' Melody 2 Reviews

Emerald seas! Blue skies! Sandy beaches! An island adventure in the ocean sounds like a trip to paradise. However, the place is a nightmare with no one to provide any blood for Raylan to feed on after he turned into a vampire by accident, especially since he has another hungry vampire at his side.

I adore this game. I expected to, seeing as the first is one of my favorites in my library, but the game was fairly different than I imagined. It doesn't really have choices, there's only one and it changes essentially nothing, mainly changing which outcast ending from the first game is the canon one, but it adds minigames. They aren't long, or challenging, or even really that interesting, but if you wanted something to break up the reading, they're there. I find it weird that they made the outcast ending the canon one, where the best ending isn't exactly closed off in terms of possibility, but it worked well. The music is probably at its best in the entire lineup from AsicxArt, I really liked it, where I didn't really notice it in previous games. I still like and empathize with the main character, so that is still the best in this line. The game also had more moments I was amused by than any of the others in memory. The art is also stunning, with a particular late game angle on the beach being my favorite cut in in the game. My play time is inflated by idling for like, a day plus, but don't take that to mean that the game is super short. The chapters are the longest I think they've been in the developer's games, and can go on for 2+ hours with some of the longer ones. Though, it is annoying for achievements that you have to both perfect and fail almost every type of minigame. I can't possibly overstate, though, how the story makes up for all of that. I think a 9/10 is a bare minimum for me, even if the pace can be slow toward the middle.

I'll be direct: This second part is very boring about the themes, I mean, from chapters 1 to 5 I think it would be only 2, about the goats and Mao Xue Wang. It would be a lot interesting if the development had been more focused on the mysteries than their daily lives, so finishing the chapter 5 and starting the 6 the story become very, very interesting, sadly that's near to the end. And talking about the end, it's clean and satisfying, not to say "Woah" but it's OK. If you like the first and want to help the developers you can buy it. In conclusion: I think the mistake is make the story more long than it should be. I don't mind it if it were only a few chapters, but very interesting.

Life on the deserted island was good! Until the Tsunami hit, then life as they knew it was lost and gone forever, along with Yella! Vampires' Melody 2 by Developer AsicxArt This one faithfully continues where Vampires Melody, left off. Previously both Yella and Raylan, find themselves arrested for failing a routine ID check. Since they were not able to provide ID, (they are 300+ years old) so they have been banished to a deserted island. Here they have to hunt for food. Luckily for them there are lots of goats on the island. But these clever goats are not easy prey and will organize and attack them. Their life is hard at first with nothing to eat nor keep them dry and warm. Then they find a dilapidated old cabin to keep them out of the wind and rain. They feed on fish, until they learn how to trap and catch goats. They made a pen to keep all the goats in and had an unlimited supply of fresh blood to feed on. Also clipped wool to make a blanket and clothes to keep warm. Life was good! Then, the tsunami hit. Everything got destroyed and they lost each other. Raylan got rescued and brought to another island. But where is Yella? She was nowhere to be found! Raylan goes back to the deserted island, frantically looking for her. Yella is no where to be found. Is she still alive, what happened to her? Maybe you should play this game and find out! https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3452215160 Pros: * Great Music * Trading Cards * Photo Gallery * 20 Achievements * Casual Mini-Games * Steam Deck Playable * No Issues using Windows 11 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3454753726 Cons: * None https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3461208577 Rating: 9/10 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3454754037 Final Thoughts: Interesting Visual Novel that continues from the previous game. Full voice acting for Yella only. With subtitles because her adorable voice isn't in English. Original theme song and BGM from renowned music production groups Project Lights, SakuraGame and Milu. Has great music, photo gallery, trading cards and achievements. Also Steam Deck playable. What do you think happened to Yella? Is she alright? Guess you should buy the game and find out! Well worth the inexpensive price! Hint: You can hold down the enter button to make reading the text go a lot faster and get to where you want to be so much sooner.
