Okay,
So imagine being an RTS adaptation of EDF (the game series), but with terraforming and popadanci? (Russian I think? dubbing).
You can only have 5 squads, but you can change the units in those squads on-the-go into other units.
It has terraforming, and building requires an exact 0! (flat) surface. O and bugs and stuff drop materia/dirt.
Its a nice nostalgic game that I did not even remember being on Steam.
Its a good one if you like to have a singleplayer game with campaign and unique mechanics.
The terraforming plays a huge part of this game and it is also one of the things I miss in modern games. Its kinda like a Supreme commander game with actual impact on terrain, but not evolved to the point of like for example the Open-Source Free game Beyond All Reason (BAR). Which also has a multiplayer and amazing replayability factor thanks to endless survival mode against Furries (scalies specifically, dino zergs) and Kinda grey-matter budget Borg (Scavs)
O and the energy thing (supply that enables structures to work) is similar to Protoss from SC Pylons, but you need to keep them connected to your HQ (flying giant-ass thing) otherwise they won't work. You need to have at least one pylon active in order to move your HQ along it's supply field.
The pylons also generate energy, and you need to keep a decent efficiency (basically not stacking pylons on one-another like a turtle such as myself) Otherwise you will not generate your only currency: Energy.
The campaign has scripted events/triggers, so you can for example cheese/bypass certain enemy spawns or infinite attack sources by simply not going along the most expected path. Like instead of going through a valley, build other way arround.
