It's the best bus game ever. It all works well and looks good. You just have to know what you're doing. If you don't, I can understand why it's not a fun game. So I'd say buy this game and immerse yourself in the world of a bus driver.

OMSI 2 is the only genuine bus simulator on the market. It may be old, but it still has no meaningful competition - other "simulators" are much more in simcade territory. You have control over virtually every aspect of the bus, including startup, destination displays, doors, IBIS, and so on. Buses are either manual or automatic depending on the transmission used on the real life prototype. You can even change the time period in which you are driving, and the routes, buses, advertisements, road traffic etc. will change to accurately correspond with the chosen period, a neat touch that I think other driving simulators (such as ETS2) should consider implementing. A wide range of DLC maps are available, and unlike other "bus simulators" these additional maps are often based on real world locations in 1:1 scale. The same is also true for the Berlin Spandau map included in the base game. In addition to the Steam and payware DLCs, a lot of freeware add-ons exist and are available from various sites with a quick Google search. OMSI 2 is by far the best bus simulator ever released to market. It is yet to be surpassed all these years later. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serious bus simulator.

so this will be the first long review so omsi 2 a bus simulation game takes place somewhere in berlin germany in the 90s so they only thing i like about it is the sound effects rain sound effects they just relive my stress as im going down a round while i listen to a lofi or podcasts tutorial number 2 is they only thing that i dont understand if that happens for then well i tell a tutorial for driving so first of starting with e on your keyboard pressing it happens that the electric turns on to be sure about this you should something beeping then press m but that dosnt work always press n that stands for nuteral position of the bus. so im gonna break down why i love this game 1. i've been playing bus games snice i was 8 years old on a console 2. it was really realistic game but the graphics are li good 3. i just love driving i mean who dosnt? well one of my friends dont 4.its my dream to become a bus driver but its my dream is also become a train driver but honestly i'll pick out the best pay quality either if its gonna be bus or train and also get this game on summer or christmas whenever they do discounts omsi 2 is just good despite its age it does serve, its purpose. omsi 2 & euro both are great games that these games both age like a fine wine no matter how old they are.

Very fun This game is also INCREDIBLY detailed considering the fact my dad, who grew up in 89 Germany, remembers these buses, and segments of the map, definitely recommend, sadly quite reliant on DLC to keep the game interesting as time goes on

OMSI 2 on Steam offers a highly detailed and immersive simulation experience for those interested in bus driving, urban transit, and transportation management. From the moment you start the game, you are greeted with a meticulously crafted virtual representation of various European cities, complete with realistic traffic patterns, detailed bus models, and authentic urban environments. The game’s visuals, while not cutting-edge in terms of hyper-realistic graphics, are highly functional and serve well to create an authentic atmosphere. The attention to detail in the environment, including accurate road layouts, signage, and bus stops, helps to build a convincing simulation that appeals both to transit enthusiasts and casual players curious about public transportation. The core gameplay of OMSI 2 revolves around operating a bus within a real-world city, adhering to schedules, obeying traffic laws, and managing the nuances of passenger interactions. The game provides a range of buses, from older models to modern coaches, each with their own handling characteristics and interior layouts. Players are encouraged to learn and master the nuances of driving, including managing acceleration, braking, and steering, all while maintaining safety and efficiency. The realism extends to the bus systems themselves, with functional doors, signals, and various controls that mimic their real-world counterparts. This depth makes each bus route feel like a genuine challenge, requiring a combination of skill, patience, and situational awareness. One of OMSI 2’s strengths lies in its extensive modding community, which has created a wealth of additional content, including new buses, maps, and scenarios. This support for customization significantly extends the game’s longevity and replayability, allowing players to explore different cities, routes, and driving conditions. The game also offers a range of scenarios and career modes that simulate different challenges, from timed passenger pickups to navigating complex traffic situations, providing a structured way to improve driving skills or simply enjoy a relaxing journey through various environments. The inclusion of multiplayer modes and shared scenarios, although not as prominent, adds an extra layer of social interaction for dedicated enthusiasts. However, OMSI 2 does have its limitations, especially considering its age and the scope of its graphics and interface design. Some players might find the user interface clunky or unintuitive, particularly when managing schedules or adjusting settings. The game’s physics, while realistic, can sometimes feel inconsistent or overly sensitive, which may frustrate new players or those expecting a more forgiving driving experience. Technical issues such as occasional bugs, crashes, or performance drops can disrupt immersion, though these are often mitigated by community patches and updates. Additionally, the game’s learning curve can be steep for newcomers unfamiliar with bus operations or traffic simulation, requiring patience and a willingness to experiment with controls and procedures. Overall, OMSI 2 on Steam is a comprehensive and authentic bus simulation that appeals to a niche but dedicated audience. Its focus on realism, coupled with a strong community support system, makes it a rewarding experience for those interested in urban transit and vehicle operation. While it may not feature the glossy graphics or streamlined user experience of modern simulations, its depth of detail, modding flexibility, and dedication to authenticity make it a standout title within its genre. For players who enjoy meticulous planning, precise driving, and exploring urban environments from behind the wheel of a bus, OMSI 2 offers hours of engaging and immersive gameplay that faithfully recreates the challenges and satisfaction of public transportation management.
