For $4 this is an easy time killer. Never upgraded past the first hero, quickly realized the heavy trooper was the best (high ROF, Armor, Health) and went from there. You have to min-max the game a bit to be fully optimal (Bring two unit types to the field, but only use the heavy troop, if you bring only one unit type you get generic 'army' upgrades only, but if you bring two or more troop types you can get upgrades for a specific unit and they are always higher than the whole army upgrades) I've done several 30 minute games on endless, but since the amount of points (warbonds) you get per mission is capped I quickly realized it was way more effective to only run 15 minute games. I already managed to survive a rank 5 (highest difficulty) of the last level 'campaign' but maybe I'll max out my hero, army and heavy trooper upgrades and see how long I can ultimately last.

An interesting change in the Survivors genre where the bullets are the main thing to evade. You play a hero and can command a squad of your making (units can be upgraded too) to find your own strategy, which gives you a lot of imagination on what kind of team you want to build. There's also an upgrade panel that affects your whole game which is a nice break from having to individually upgrade every hero so you can try new heroes and don't have such a backlash from not having it leveled it up. Overall a nice and good addition to the genre to play on your free time!

I have to rate this down. It runs ok, but the progression and unlocks are terrible. Both outside and during runs, you get abilities that improve stats by 1%-10% and the most exciting upgrades are the +10 flat damage and the +15% damage for army. There is nothing that creates effects, just tiny stats increases. You can only unlock infantry no vehicles for both you and the enemy. Your soldiers have basic AI and will stand to shot or follow you if you're too far, they'll group up doing so and get cleaned up by enemies AOE or own grouped enemies mowing them down. You can't keep them alive, and you have to pay money to buy more. You can raise your small income during a run, it takes 30-40 cycles for the investment to be pay back, at which point you're nearly done with the run (or dead). The game could work but need a complete overhaul of abilities and upgrade, so there is meaningful way to spend levels ups and units upgrades.

Sadly, no. The whole concept of the game (being able to recruit your own guys) is let entirely down by the fact they are not at all survivable. They will either get mobbed by enemies, or will get shot to pieces while standing still and shooting back. Add to the fact that the upgrades system is clearly not thought about at all, because all of your unit and army upgrades are both boring and extremely incremental in both the in game level ups and after game currency spending, the game is more of a chore to play than is fun. The translations here are pretty bad too, frankly. Alot of them have clearly either been misspelled, translated correctly but extremely directly, or use such odd sentence structure that i had to re-read them once or twice. It's a shame, because the idea of the game is fun. The execution is where it fails. EDIT: Having played some more, i have noticed a few other issues. The biggest is that your health has no way to recover unless you choose to do so on the upgrade screen, unless i'm missing something. This then sends you down a cascade failure in a run if you get hit (Which again, is hard not to do, esp when enemies who all have guns come in the circle pattren!). With some upgrades to your troops, grenades and the ability to heal them has made the game more enjoyable in the last update, the translation is still very poor and the healing issue is my current biggest one. Others include some rather janky animations when reloading, running animation in general being poor, and other various fiddly bits.
