The game wants to be extremely difficult, it is, and totally overshoots it.
It is so old-school that you wish for at least the simplest quality of life improvements. But there are no such things here.
And that's either exactly what you're looking for or it's not!
But the slowdowns (or was it the adaptive difficulty mode?) made it impossible for me to like this game. Because it got so slow that it suddenly became way too easy.
