I have played on the Steam Deck. Works well. Bit dated but still fun.

ICE CREAM! ICE CREAM!
The classic Amiga game is back, remastered, refreshed and full of Replays & Ice cream!
While the main game is essentially the same there has been some new things added like remote play, challenges, steam achievements and the most obvious a very nice graphic overall that retains the originals charm but makes each team look different enough there is no longer any confusion in who is who!
One of the biggest issues with the Amiga version is that all players looked the same, apart from a slight difference on the helmet which was red or blue, they are now all fully coloured in their own suits and its much easier to play because of it, not easier to win though, its still challenging against the tougher teams!
Game-play remains mostly the same, some new power ups have been added but the general game-play of pass, smash the player, shoot etc. all remains the same.
You can still upgrade your team or individual players with the coins you pick up or match winnings, you can also buy new players and if you want to save some cash, swap them instead with one of your players.
For those new to the game or series, Speedball is futuristic sports sim, sort of a more violent, forward passing rugby / handball with added ways to score like the bumpers and stars you can hit, if you hit 5 you get a fanfare and a bonus!
You can also increase your scoring points by shooting the ball into the side loops to add 1.5 to 2x to the points you earn, so a goal can be 10, 15 or 20.
You can play one off games, cups or leagues, my personal favourite is the career mode where you start off with a bunch of basic players, which you then train them up to hopefully challenge for the division title!
If any of you played the Amiga CD32 version, this is essentially the same but with a couple of extra things.
Speedball 2 HD has lost none of its charm, still plays beautifully, is still lots of crazy fun, suit up, grab that power ball and smash your opposition! REPLAY!
