Great as a multiplayer game, lacks a little as a single player game, but overall is fun and good for a couple of hours of game play.

TowerFall Ascension is a super fun local party game. I’ve put several hours into it on PS4, both solo and with friends. It has tight controls, great style, and addicting gameplay. But the lack of online multiplayer is a huge letdown. It’s frustrating that the devs won’t even consider online play. They have plenty of "reasons," but honestly, lots of fast-paced games make online work just fine these days. Instead of finding a solution, you’ll see them in multiple threads saying things like “this game isn’t for you” — which feels needlessly exclusive, especially since most of us don’t have the luxury of living down the street from our friends like we did when we were younger to play couch CO-OP. This game could’ve been something bigger than what they want it to be, but they’re choosing to keep it small and niche out of some principle. And that’s a shame.
