Update: I've talked at length with the developer of this experience and he is committed to improving and fixing the various issues reported. I'm happy to say that LOD issue and quality issues have been mitigated. For now, I'll leave my original review unedited, but please know that improvements have been made. The good: The highlight for me was definitely the recreation of the Mulberry harbor, as it really puts into perspective the scope of both the invasion, manpower, equipment, etc. It was very impressive and the reason why I'm recommended this (with caveats). The bad: This is an early access experience and it shows. I played on a Quest 3 via Virtual Desktop on a pretty beefy computer and I ran into some performance issues. Also, the various assets are mediocre quality. I also experienced pretty annoying LOD issues which prevented clarity on certain assets unless looking directly at the object. The ugly: Pronunciation of French words made my skin crawl. Lastly, the uniforms and equipment for the US soldiers are wrong or incomplete. I'm familiar with the US equipment, but not Canadian, UK, or German so I'm unsure if that is correct or not. Overall: I want experiences like this to succeed, but I would suggest waiting on this one a little bit longer before buying, unless you want to see that sweet sweet Mullberry. After all, it's logistics that wins wars. Recommendation: My suggestion for the developer would be to focus next efforts on scenes and content that show the scope of the invasion, as that can really only been done in VR. Like the number of number of boats, number of casualties, number of planes. Put all of the boats on a virtual ocean, let me see them! Most of the content can be experienced in a normal museum, bring the scope of the invasion to life.

Just did a part of the tour. this is where VR shines. It is as if you have the museum to yourself and can view everything in peace and quiet without crowds of annoying people :P Very detailed with models, videos, narration, i would recommend it.
