This is kind of a tough recommend. The technical issues from the previous game seem to have been fixed in here, but there are also way more localization issues, most glaringly sections of fully untranslated lines in two endings and in another route. The game itself is also quite short, about one hour per route, maybe two or three if you let it run on autoplay.
Also the store page at the time of this review is inaccurate (cut & paste fail, Spike Chunsoft); there is no gameplay element in this one, it's a straight visual novel (but as a result is the better of the two games). At 35 USD, it's a big ask for what seemingly appears to just be a low effort IP cash grab.
That said, the actual content in this game, despite being short, is pretty great. It does, however, feel tailored to people who were dissatisfied with the movie (please watch it before playing this, the prologue is taken straight from it). Every route worked; no route was bad, although the 'good' endings
were extremely similar to each other
. The voice acting is top tier as usual, especially in the 'all route'. It's hard to complain about the content in this game, sans the incomplete localization job (which, to be fair, is a big minus).
Hard to make a case for the full, standalone price, but fans of the series should pick up the double pack, probably on sale.

Okay, most of the reviews mention you should be familiar with the anime series before getting into this game. That is true. If you have not watched the series and you are considering getting this game, hold off until you watch the series.
This game is based on event from "The Quintessential Quintuplets movie". So while this game allows you to choose your path to let it be your fever dream, I feel this game doesn't give to many choices for the player to really make you feel like you're in the shoes of Futaro Uesugi. Mostly because once you choose how you interact, it then could be awhile before you make another choice on where you wanna go with your relationship with the gal(s). Sure, because you can "confess" to each gal with each play through, but even then most of the progression with the game and events are more or less just linear and you just have to save the game just so you can go back if you mess up.
Do I recommend this game?
If you have watched the series, then yes. Have fun with this game and explore more depth with the personalities of the gals. Otherwise, watch the series before you jump into this game.
