Fears to Fathom – Ironbark Lookout is a gripping psychological experience where isolation warps your perception. Alone in the desolate lookout, you’re left to wonder if the horrors you encounter are real or just a product of your mind unraveling. The atmosphere builds a creeping sense of paranoia, making every sound and shadow feel threatening.
The mini-games provide brief respite, and the reporting system draws you further into the experience. The scares are expertly timed, keeping you on edge and questioning what’s truly happening. A masterclass in psychological horror, Ironbark Lookout will leave you haunted long after the screen fades to black.

A perfect mix of cozy and spooky. Very well polished and has a neat run time of ~2hrs. Overall an easy recommendation if you like bite-sized horror.

Perfect balanced horror game. The way this game uses sounds and music instead of physical jumpscares makes this game more unique than any other. The casual and cozy feeling the beginning is also a really nice touch because other games are pure horror all the way through while this one is more realistic but letting weird encounters slowly come into play.

This installment of Fears To Fathom wasn't honestly as good as the first three. There was way too much pissing around (not even a pun) often quite unclear directions and the ending was rather abrupt. But hey, the guy lived to tell the tale so that's good :D
Overall still an okay horror game so I do recommend it. Here's hoping Episode 5 is not going to be even worse.

I love the premise of this game and the episodic nature of each story, but there's some things I really don't like about this game. First, the mechanics are inconsistent. At the very beginning of the game, they force you to use the bathroom before eating. Then, once at the cabin, you have to use the bathroom again late at night. I'm personally clamoring for Bathroom Simulator, but I see the point of the mechanic- forcing to use the bathroom was a way to force you out of the cabin. But then the bathroom mechanic just disappears- as does the need to eat. So, why introduce it in the first place?
In addition to the bathroom mechanic, the game forces you to do other things, like assemble a casserole using a recipe a friend texted to you, and replenishing firewood from the outdoor shack, even when nothing happens. There's also a text message feature in the game, but you seldom have service. I thought they were introducing a mechanic that you exploit strategically to make emergency calls, but nope. The text messages you receive have nothing to do with the ultimate story. Tasks like making the casserole feel like ways to pad the games runtime.
I wish they left the dead-end mechanics out and/or replaced them with more time exploring the creepy woods. Either way, I would like to see more plot and less filler.

These games are too spoopy. I just finished a play through of 'Firewatch', and this game was like that but terrifying. Jimmy or whatever that dunce rangers name is can suck an egg, he gave me the biggest scares of the episode. Would recommend.
