This game is average and has a lot of issues, such as audio issues and other issues. The story was good, but nothing remarkable. However, I gave it a positive review because of the potential and I believe the developer could create something much better than this.

I’m honestly torn. (plz give us a neutral button) - It’s not trash, but it’s also not great. It’s unrefined, which leaves you wondering what the game could’ve been if it had a little more time to bake in the oven. The fight tracks give off major PS2-era vibes-specifically reminding me of the game 'Primal'. It's like you’re fighting demons while a mid-2000s rock band shreds in the background. It’s oddly nostalgic, even though it’s a little over the top. Some people say the fights are hard and take way too long. What? How? I ended up with over 100 rounds of ammo left by the end. The enemies just didn’t feel like much of a challenge. Maybe the devs were going for that “action hero” vibe, where you’re just mowing down enemies. If that’s the case, they nailed it. But it’s not exactly thrilling when you’re wiping the floor with enemies without breaking a sweat. The gameplay itself is fine, I guess? It’s functional, but it’s definitely not as smooth or satisfying as you’d hope. There are moments when it almost feels like it’s getting good, but then some clunky animation or weird glitch brings you back down to Earth. There’s clearly some potential here, but it’s buried under a few rough edges. :D On a brighter note, the studio behind this is working on a new game called Lurking Danger for 2025, so maybe they’ll take everything they learned from Selene’s Unbearable Night and give us something a little more refined next time. All in all, if you’re in the mood for something that’s not a disaster but definitely not a masterpiece, give Selene’s Unbearable Night a try. Just be prepared to be a little too overpowered for most of the fights. Maybe some folks like that, but personally, I prefer a bit more of a challenge. <3
