Fun and addicting. Voice acting and writing is cringey though. Witewy vibes. Flash game art quality.

Its fun but you got normal mode, which is just easy mode behind a playwall or hard mode which is unbalanced to the point of impossibility. All of which takes place on an open field with maybe a dozen environmental assets present and zero points of interest. The final boss is incredibly simple. Every single one of her necromancer powers is unoriginal. The devs said they were taking a break but that was a month ago?
Honestly it's like the kinda browser game you'd find for free on websites. Would not recommend you spend money on it in it's current state. Gimme some towns, gimme some fleeing civilians, gimme more variety.

Love games where you can play the villain. And being a necromancer is such a cool concept. At the moment this game still needs a bit more work in terms of balance and fun. Which is a very hard thing to do! But as it is now its hard to give a positive review since its just wears out quickly.
I generally feel that there is a need for more perks and abilities with more impact. There are abilities that sound cool like "fires of abyss" that feels underwhelming. Some of the AOE abilities feel weird since your own army can push beyond the area, which means growing your army works against your own abilities. (suffering from success)
Also feels that having more than one type of enemy at each "tier" might be a good idea. Hell kinda has the right idea with reintroducing range units again at different tiers so that you don't lose you range options as you progress and fight against harder enemies.
Don't think its exactly needed for your minions to be a strict mirror reflection of the enemies. Peasants can be raised as skeletons, which maybe with a perk can become zombies instead. This would also help with balancing(can also make it more difficult introducing more variations and possibilities). At the moment its unilateral. So any buff makes your own units strictly stronger than its reflection. So that 5% buffs makes your army strictly stronger than the opposition. Where if your own units are different to begin with, they can even be weaker but the buffs and perks are more decisive and powerful to tip the scales to your favor.
Not exactly sure where the game is going in terms of its dialog and story. Not that I expect the game to have any story at all. I love a bit of cheesiness. And the dommy mommy thing can work(?) But atm its just dommy and not enough mommy. She should care about her minions or something at least.
Art style is cool.
Genuinely think this game has potential and looking forward to playing it again after a few updates

Bad game.
Minions don't defend your character. If you get attacked from the right, your troops on the left just stay there. If you move left they move in front of you instead of atacking the mobs on your rigtht.
You spells are terrible weak. The in game buffs are trash.
But it still early access. Maybe it will get better on full release

Unfortunately, the game is unbearably slow for me. The first 15 minutes or so of each round of gameplay are dull with nothing interesting happening whatsoever. My mind easily drifts away while trying to wait until my army expands and something more engaging appears on the screen. Gathering troops in the early stages of a new round feels like the most tedious chore. The power-ups are mostly meaningless and don’t seem to have a tangible effect on the gameplay. You don’t get to feel “5% more damage”. Neither do I feel motivated to sit through the uneventful gameplay to collect enough currency to buy permanent upgrades making my character move 5% faster or something similarly underwhelming.
The first boss battle I encountered was fun, though.
Having to hold a button to resurrect the fallen troops gets tiresome very fast, as there is barely any reason not to hold it throughout the duration of the entire game. My right thumb gets totally numb after 30 minutes of pressing the single button. At this point, it doesn’t make any sense for me and I would prefer the resurrection mechanic to be automatic.
Gathering a large army of undead is very cool, especially as it is gradually expands to unreasonable numbers. I love to see hundreds of small zombies relentlessly pillage through enemies, leaving nothing but blood-soaked ground behind. Although, It’s a pity that once you get a large army, and you find yourself in a battle, the frame rate is all over the place on Steam Deck with drops as low as 20fps. Also what’s up with the terrain texture? I can clearly see a sharp edges marking the end of map segments before a new ones were generated and stitched together.
I wanted to like to this game as the core idea behind it sounds fun and there are genuinely high quality pieces there, such as art style, music, voice acting (as long as characters refrain from sharing awfully cringe comments full of sexual innuendos), but I’m afraid I can’t recommend Be My Horde at the moment. There’s not enough interesting content to justify the abundance of tedious and plainly boring gameplay.
There is a potential here though so perhaps the game will be worth revisiting in the future.

Very cool little game ! Serve your queen, massacre everything ! You really get stronger with each run ... It's not like some other Roguelike where your upgrades are trash.
In this game, they really matter and they're very useful ! Loving it !
Also "Dick" ... HA HA HA ! This queeeeeeen, really has a sharp tongue and i love it :3
For the price ... I consider it to be a bargain.
How to calculate if a game is worth it or not ? Simple ! If 1€ can bring you 1 hour of fun, i consider it a GOOD game ! (Because ... A meal at a restaurant is more than 20 right now, for only 30 minutes of "Fun" ... A movie in a theater is at-least 7€ for only 2 to 3 hours TOPS)
Only thing that could compete with the 1 hour = 1€ is ... A book ? Anyway. Have a good time :3
Be My Horde: A Unique and Addictive Twist on the Survivor Genre
Be My Horde is a roguelite survivor game that flips the formula by casting you as a villainous necromancer commanding an ever-growing army of the undead. Instead of fighting directly, you raise fallen enemies to do your bidding, turning each run into a chaotic and strategic horde-building experience. With its offbeat humour, solid mechanics, and unique identity, it stands out in the genre.
The Highlights:
✅ Satisfying, Minion-Based Gameplay – You stay out of the action and let your undead army handle the chaos. Watching your horde grow as enemies fall never gets old and makes for a really fun loop.
✅ Kingdom Level Music is Excellent – This stage features gothic-inspired heavy metal with orchestral vocals that build in intensity as the action ramps up. It’s dramatic, fitting, and adds a real sense of momentum.
✅ Distinctive Art Style – The visuals are bold and memorable, with a nice mix of cartoonish style and dark fantasy flair that gives the game a strong personality.
✅ Build Variety – Between different minion types and upgrades gained from devoured souls, there are a few solid paths to explore and experiment with.
✅ Great Voice Acting – Performances are full of personality and help sell the game’s quirky, villain-led tone.
✅ Charming, Quirky Story – Playing as the bad guy is a fun twist, and the writing leans into the humour without overdoing it.
✅ Achievement Hunting – Loads of in-game achievements give you clear goals and keep things interesting between runs.
✅ Difficulty Scaling – You can choose your starting difficulty, and levels get harder each time you beat them, which helps the challenge stay fresh.
✅ Cosmetic Unlocks – You can earn cosmetic rewards as you play, which is a nice touch for those who like a bit of customisation.
✅ Polished Experience – The game runs well with no noticeable bugs or crashes.
The Downsides:
❌ Hell Level Music Feels Out of Place – Compared to the Kingdom level, which nails its tone, the Hell stage features a kind of off-beat, jazzy piano track that doesn't really match the intensity or vibe of the gameplay.
❌ Updates Are Infrequent – With just two levels available right now, the game could really benefit from more frequent or larger content updates.
Final Verdict
Be My Horde is a creative and entertaining take on the survivor genre. Leading an undead army as a necromancer is a blast, and the game backs that up with a great soundtrack (in parts), a fun art style, and a decent amount of replayability. While content is a little limited for now and updates are slow, what’s already here is absolutely worth your time. If you enjoy roguelites or survivor-style games and want something a bit different, this one's easy to recommend.
⭐ Highly Recommended! ⭐

Early review --->
So far, its a pretty good game with a lot of potential, im having fun with the gameplay and the concept of a necromancer building an army of undead, the team behind the game is doing a really good job. However, i do have some criticisms:
Major flaw (in my opinion) ---> The upgrades end at certain point, which they end up not being as impactful on the late game part of each run (like being able to revive 20 minions at the same time but the upgrade stops there, or only being able to revive in a 45% increased area which the upgrade also stops there).
Minor flaws (in my opinion) ---> Certain powers end up not being that impactful (or not impactful at all) because of building your undead army too big so stuff like the explosive corpses and the orbitting fire end up not being that much useful, which leads to a minor nitpick of mine which is the screen part, when you build a big enough undead army it can get a bit distracting when all you can see is your army in your screen so you can get kinda disoriented in the map and in the screen, it would be nice to have an option to make the screen more far away from the necromancer so that you can see the map and the army better. Another thing that i have noticed is how sudden the difficulty change is between normal human and normal hell which might lead to some grinding.
Nitpick of mine: I have noticed that when you have the summoning toggle on options you dont know when you have the summoning mode on until you get close to corpses which might lead to some confusion for a few players.

The game is boring as hell. The first couple hours you're useless and can barely hold on and after a few upgrades you roll everything over waiting 10~ minutes for some sort of challenge.
There is no balance whatsoever. Only 1-2 viable builds. Most of the skills are next to useless.
I've played a ton of rogue-lites and this has got to be one of the worst so far.

I am writing this review because i kind of get irritated every time i see this in my library.
Not because the core game is bad or the game-play loop is shit. The core stuff is good and what it should be.
The reason i do not recommend it, is that I do not understand how in the world a dev team manages to add so little content to game in such a long time. This is basically right click to necromance+. But right click to necromance was build in 48h by a team. This game has been in development for way longer that that and I just cannot for the live of me understand why nothing is happening. They have such a good basis and no new content / new mechanics / features. Nothing. And the roguelike element of this game, as it is right now, might aswell not exisit at all. Its useless almost. You cant just call your game a "roguelike" because you give the player about 20 powerups over 30+ mins which all boil down to something like: "Do all little bit of more damage", "Move a little bit faster" etc...... Nothing noteworthy there, like jesus christ I am sure some guys in the team spend some effort on this but really? This is the extent of your creativity.....
I am pretty sure they just put the simplest stuff the could think of into the game to be able to put "roguelike" into the tags. Anyone who has played it will probably agree with me that that element of the game might as well not be there.......
Please, just add content you have such a good base and going at a slow rate like this is just hurting you, nothing has been moving. And also please rework your powerup system, its trash. (Also they kind of deliberately tried to prolong game time by making the released hell mode ultra hard, so that you had to farm forever for upgrades. They claimed they just got the difficulty wrong because "our team plays it so much we know all the tactics and how to get strong fast so we thought it was not that hard" which in my opinion is bullshit XD. They just cranked the difficulty unreasonably high to keep people playing by needing to grind upgrades to finish hell mode)
