Pretty chill game that's cute and fun. Has a lot more to offer than I initially thought. I wouldn't say it takes the place of animal crossing despite similar elements but I enjoy it all the same. It's a well made game imo. Customization is basic in places but gradually you unlock different things to wear. Overall, if you love Hello Kitty & Friends in general I recommend this game.

Look, I have been waiting for this game to go on Sale and when I finally saw the 30$ sale I bought it and was very excited to play it and then...I just didn't like it. Now, I do absolutely love the cuteness of the characters and world, the Sanrio design is what makes it that pretty BUT like some steam players already said... if it wasn't marketed with the Sanrio world then... I feel like it wouldn't be all that liked. It's not bad per se, it's just not enough to justify the original price and the sale price. Honestly I would pay $5 dollar for a game like this, and even then I feel like it would be a waste of money. It didn't felt engaging at all, it gave me that feeling that I have always had when trying to play a mobile game: Open it with enthusiasm and getting bored within the first hour and never wanting to pick it up again. :(

Might get looked at like a weirdo for playing this as a grown ass man but I don't care games fun as hell no regrets hahaha. I don't like anything Sanrio aside from Aggretsuko and I still enjoy the vibes. Easiest way to describe the game is if Hello Kitty was an Animal Crossing game it does a few things different but overall I think it's quite similar at least I think so anyway. The only con is the daily limit to progress but I ain't looking to play this for 10+ hours a day so I'm good. Easy recommend if you like cozy games because it's hella cute lol.

Too expensive for what it offers. I feel $15-$30 would be reasonable. I've also been unable to play the game whilst offline, thanks to Denuvo.
Fun game but simply not worth it currently because of the aforementioned issues.

Although the graphics are adorable and the general vibe is lovely, I can't glaze this game just because I love Sanrio
This game is shallow and lacks depth and the quests and general progress drags on for too long it's not just a "slow pace" it's a pace that stalls to keep your attention for as long as possible before you realize how shallow this half baked game is compared to its price tag of a full game.
this game is too expensive for a half baked game (if u add the deluxe it's even more ridiculous)
and by that I mean the bugs where fish are swimming in the air and the critters are stuck underground, or the quests and/or the npcs randomly vanishing into thin air and not appearing again until a few hours or the next day(real time)...etc
halfway to later in the game the quests drag on for too long where you're only able to finish one quest or a part of a quest a day.... why exactly did I pay for the deluxe game just to get a free to play experience!?
or even worse, quests that require you to gather or craft large amounts of items in this game where the resources you can gather are limited per day
even if you use the flowers to respawn resources, it spawns even less resources than the start of the day, and it feels like a waste to use multiple flowers on a single resource, so you waste hours of your day gathering all kinds of resources so it doesn't go to waste before using your next flower.
The game feels dull like a husk esp when you're given multiple responses to choose from in a quest, usually this is where your choice matters in other games and changes the story or at the very least the npc's next line... but it doesn't matter which option you choose in this game, the npcs will say a line that fits all the options.
I'd rather not have the choice to respond and just be immersed in the quest story rather than that realization hitting every time I choose a response, It takes you out of the experience tbh.
I will continue to play this game and hopefully get all the achievements, but until these things are fixed, I personally can not recommend this game.
A very cute game that has a lot of charm and potential.
This game is very cute. That is, in my opinion, its biggest selling point. Cozy games in general are mired by having so many poor entries into the genre. This is one that actually has a lot of good qualities. It's very simple, yet it is still fun enough to keep returning to. It is very visually appealing, has a calming aspect to it, is good if you want to have a game just to play for a bit every day.
My qualms with this game are that it can easily burn you out or bore you. Getting on daily to do quests can easily kind of make you tired of the game. So, for me, that just means that I have to not really fixate on doing the quests and stuff every day. Just a note I had.

A realistic review of the game from someone who loves cozy games and played HKIA for 150+ hours.
If I was to give this game a star rating, it would be a 3/5 stars, with the extra star being rather generous.
Now before I start, I want to say that the game can be very enjoyable. But that comes completely from *some* of the story and the overall existing cuteness of Sanrio characters. I think if this game wasn't Sanrio, it wouldn't be nearly as loved as it is.
The game play started out as mobile, and it's very obvious that it was from the game play and overall appearance. But also the biggest factor you can tell it's mobile, is also the reason why what should be a cozy and relaxing game has made me crash out multiple times.
It was originally a game on a subscription based platform. Which means they have gone out of their way to drag everything out as much as possible, just to make sure you keep throwing $$$ at apple.
It will literally brick your save file if you try to time travel, trying to punish you if you want to progress the unnecessarily long quests.
Too many of the quests have random "Come back tomorrow" moments just to have a 5 second finishing to the quest the next day. Not to mention the resource grind can be stressful even *end game*.
They also made the way you unlock progression through friendship levels with the characters, which is still based of resources and daily limits to again inflate playtime with no real meat. And sometimes the "rewards" for spending literal months on someone's friendship, is literally just more months of work toward a goal with no real reward once again.
They also make mistakes like not planning on people jumping up sides of cliffs to skip the annoying stamina bar climbing, and then later in a patch wordlessly nerf it so you can't without stamina penalty. This wouldn't be such a problem if the stamina nerd didn't make you *barely* able to make it up a tall cliff with FULLY upgraded stamina.
Also wordlessly took away another exploit that turned an already long quest into and *even* longer one/
ENDING SPOILER:
In the end, once you have gone through and made best friends with all the characters (Wish Me Mell being unnecessarily hard for literally no reason, something everyone complains about) you get a cut scene at the end with a song and dance of the characters celebrating your achievement. And where it was cute, I couldn't fully enjoy it as a PC player because it was literally so grainy and crunchy because they couldn't be bothered to make it better for non mobile players. The reward for months of work was in early 2000s youtube quality and was just another disappointment on the others.
There's more things I'm sure I'm missing out on, like the fact they make the visitors rotation purposely dragged out to, once again inflate that time. Or the summer event costing an ungodly amount of shells for shop items, a random collectible that you get from slowly swimming or having a friend collect. And since it's not used in high amounts for anything else I've seen, you don't really know to collect them until the even is there ruining your shell supply. Not to mention the rotation of items in the shop is as bad as Disney Dreamlight and you can have a chance to just not get a single item because you couldn't afford it when it's there.
But TLDR:
I would neither recommend nor not recommend the game. It truly depends on if you can mindlessly come back every single day to grind out possibly up to 2 hours every day, just for half assed rewards or just to be told "come back tomorrow!". Its only win is it's cute and got some funny interactions between characters. Also they have no problem with leaving crusty mobile things that don't translate well to PC.
If you were ever one to time travel in Animal Crossing, I do NOT recommend this game.

The dialogue in this game is absolute gold. I gave My Melody three pink lattes and she’s like "Oh, I was hoping for something like this." Because really My Melody? You wanted me to rock up with 3 pink lattes? Girl, how many do you need?? I know it's just game dialog but it makes me chuckle every time. I gave Chococat yet another History of Chocolate book and he still says "I’ve been looking for this for days!" Like I haven’t been handing you those same books for weeks 😭

I'm a huge Sanrio fan. I love this game and I've had a lot of fun with it, BUT I will say that it started as a mobile game and still very much plays as a mobile game. There is A LOT of timekeeping in this game-- like... A LOT. You're pretty much required to log in every day to make any sort of progress, which won't be some people's cup of tea. I'm sort of to the point after just over 100 hours that I don't have much left to do other than gardening and preparing cabins for new visitors. I recommend this game ONLY if you're okay with the borderline obnoxious timekeeping and paying $40-$60 for what is simply a ported mobile game.
