I have never heard of this game until I saw it released on Steam. It seemed fun so I gave it a shot, but honestly it feels like a glorified mobile game. I wouldn't compare this to Animal Crossing. The gameplay is pretty repetitive, just with different graphics as you unlock different parts of the island. My favorite parts of the game were the character customization and the style of the furniture. Overall, wouldn't recommend but maybe you'll feel differently.

Don't get me wrong, this is a really good, chilled game which gives me Animal Crossing mixed with Disney Dreamlight Valley. The story is good, the puzzles are good, the events are great, design options...FAB...
What irritates me... is when you just get stuck for a while. Several times, I got to a point where I just wanted to play this, but I couldn't because I didn't have high enough friendship level to unlock certain quests. You can also only gift each friend up to 3 times a day (6 if you have a flower, 9 if your smart and use one of the bouquets to re-gift the entire island)
Some characters were really easy to level up, but then you get some where you can't for a long time! There are 1, 2, and 3 star gifts. Wish Me Mell. BANE OF MY LIFE. Her 2 and 3 star gifts are not accessible until you've unlocked a certain area of the Merry Meadows. And how do you do that you might ask? Well... you have to level up Wish Me Mell to around level 12 maybe? IDK because I'm STILL trying to get there, so painfully slow. I'm sat there gifting her ANYTHING and watching that bloody heart friendship XP bar lift by a SINGLE PIXEL.
Overall, yeah fab! Cute cosy game... but mildly infuriating at times

I do enjoy the chill games of Animal Crossing. So seeing this game got me interested as well. I am a grown man who has nothing with Hello Kitty as most man haha. And this started as a silly joke i had going. I got to say the game is very good. Plays well and it looks great. It fills that niche on the pc market perfectly. The characters are cute and cool as well. Besides Hello Kitty i never knew any of the Sanrio characters, and the fact you can make a red panda is a big plus :D Can highly recommend this cozy and relaxing game which will gives you many hours of fun.

I'm a 59yo man who has never done anything in the Hello Kitty world, but I'm having a fun time with this game. I'm at the point where most of the story is over and I'm doing an hour or so of daily stuff, working to max friendship with all the characters. I love that there are no pay items and no long slog to farm resources. Worth checking out by anyone who likes casual games.

I love this game. It reminds me so much of New Horizons but with more to do and cuter. Who doesn't love Sanrio characters? I had dropped a loved game years back (AC:NH) because aside from Nintendo's overall greed, the game was no longer getting updated and it started to feel very boring. This game is wayyyy better and I went into it expecting not to enjoy it as much because of the daily's but in all honesty I love getting on for an hour or two a day to do my daily's and just other stuff like fishing, exploring and decorating. Overall I would recommend this game to those who enjoyed AC:NH (without the time jumps) and if you're a big Sanrio lover.

If you enjoy creative freedom and gradual development, Hello Kitty’s Adventure might feel a bit too basic and repetitive, but it’s a great choice for a quick, relaxing escape.

Still grinding for that one achievement. Probably locked behind emotional growth.

I’ve cried at a picnic. I’ve celebrated a frog’s birthday.
But Milk’s still missing, and I’m not sure if it’s part of the game or a metaphor for life. But I’m not stopping until I find out.
