Stupid Camera Reviews

The developer wants you to get stressed out through this game. To that end, nothing is so insincerely implemented. It's an endless run game, a very simple game. In the game, the player's goal is to run many distances and reach the final score.

Note: This is a VERY tenuous recommendation. So, Stupid Camera is an endless scroller with, as the title suggests, a stupid camera; it doesn't follow the player, or zoom out over obstacles. Far more difficult are the evident coding and object bugs. Firstly, your run might end instantly as obstacles can spawn directly in front of the player with zero time to avoid them. If you make it past that, some objects (such as the brown cow) have an error with their hit-box and even when you are some distance from them, can still end your run. If you can make it past those issues, the gameplay itself is somewhat entertaining. It is easy to get into, and not hard to master as the sides of the track are generally unoccupied, bar a few obstacles. In my second run I was able to easily get a score of 187 (which seems as though it is the current highscore for the game). The charm of the game is that it is obviously a game made by someone learning how to make games. It is rough, but still delivers some fun and the intent is there. If you're a fan of speed runs and exploits, I can honestly see this game getting a bit of a following. The huge if to that however is if the developer continues to polish the game. There are things like the lack of a leaderboard,; the music track stops after a while (weirdly you begin to miss the annoying tune); the aforementioned bugs; I'd love to see some more variation on obstacles and a way to minimize the exploitation of the sides; and perhaps the camera could change direction every now and then to really spice things up. If the developer spends just a bit more time, Stupid Camera could become a great rage game. As it stands, it is a bit of fun for game dev enthusiasts, those who like running niche games, and those who want to try a new game for a buck.
