bought this strictly for the onion skin feature; and it crashes upon saving any animation, regardless of the amount of frames. i genuinely do not see any other perk to this version other than the onion skin feature, and it does not work. ontop of that, it lags so heavily and is just a pain to draw with entirely. i have a crappy computer, sure, but the non-steam version of medibang works perfectly anyways. utter waste of money. if your computer can handle heavy programs regardless then you *may* have a shot with this, otherwise it is 70-ish dollars for nothing, truly. i wish i could return it so bad but i spent too long trying to figure out if the crashing issue was on my part & waited past the refund window lol. leaving this review a while after this fiasco though. the number of hours played are like 90% me just leaving it open while i do other stuff.

I've been an avid user of the free version for years now and finally decided to buy the pro version out of support. Unfortunately, it's worse. The only new things you get are a couple of brushes and the ability to use onion skins for animating. As it stands though, Medibang Paint is not a good software for animating. You get no timeline or anything - all it allows you to do is use layers as frames (which could be done with persistence in the regular version). I've had an easier time with Krita for the sake of animation.
It also has issues with "not responding" frequently.
Unless more features are added, it's just not worth the price when you can get essentially the same thing for free.
