Game as been nerfed to the ground, then abandonned. So if you do purchase it, don't expect to be able to play all the map. the last few ones are almost impossible, thus the last achievement isn't realistically obtainable.
Trying To Finish This Game Out Of Spite
TLDR: game starts fairly strong but ends up funneling you into doing ONE thing to grind the rest of the game. I expect grinding from incremental games but this one felt kind of backwards - these kinds of games should START with one thing you can do to grind and then branch out... this one bottlenecks HARD. and some of the mechanics are either buggy or just so unclear that it feels buggy. while i had fun moments and see pieces of a great game here, i can't recommend it unless you're someone who KNOWS you'll only play a few rounds and drop this, or if you GENUINELY love playing tower defense to the point where you don't mind doing the same levels with the same equipment over and over and over. this game feels like abandonware.
Did They Give Up? Is The Game Still Not Finished?
look, the front end is super fun. but there comes a point where you have unlocked all you can with all the resources except one - the purple gems. that one, you MUST fight enemies to get, and they only drop from the elite/boss enemies, so you need to be choosy about which stage to grind because there's a set amount which spawn depending on the stage. there is NO other way to get the purple gems than defeating these enemies. i'm left with doing the same one level over and over to get 12 purple gems per fight (and it's 11 waves so it ain't quick either, even sped up). that is the final round of the previous "area" where it has extra enemies and boss fights. it's the highest yield i've found and it's a real pain to have to grind out. i'm maxed on everything, but the stage i'm at feels impossible - so here i am, doing this stage that is exceedingly easy (i've literally done runs of using JUST one tower, of every tower, and won every time. no strategy needed) just to grind out the one resource that is SO limited and EXTREMELY necessary to finish upgrading your tree, or give further power upgrades to pass the harder levels.
You Guys, I'm Not Sure I'll Be Able To Finish This One
i can't tell if the game is buggy or if i'm not understanding something. it seems simple - there's a cathedral building in your town that you unlock at some point. it's supposed to give you a blessing to add odds to one of 3 things (you select at the building from increased resources, increased damage, or increased chance of relic drop) but well, i can't tell if they work. the damage one didn't help at all with beating the level i was struggling with. okay so maybe i'm behind - so i tried using it for grinding. i enabled the "all enemies drop 1% extra loot for each praying peasant" with a fully leveled, fully employed cathedral, but it never gives any extra of this purple gem resource. i can't tell if it straight up doesn't work with purple gems, or if it's designed so even at full level you'll never get an extra purple gem even with this maxed? i've also left the cathedral on the one that's supposed to boost relic drop chances, i mean i've had it on since i unlocked the building... has to be tens and tens of rounds, maybe more bc i'm not counting and i'd rather underestimate... but does it even work?? are my odds ACTUALLY increased? i can't tell because i haven't gotten a SINGLE relic since i equipped it and enabled it. am i supposed to farm certain stages?? this makes it even harder to grind out the higher levels!
I Don't Even Get Dopamine From The Achievements
and just as a side note, the achievements are so basic... "beat this level!" is basically all the achievements have to offer... for me it's just another show of a game that didn't get finished, didn't get any finishing touches or details added... not everyone cares about achievements, but it's another layer of "things to do" to make grinding feel a little bit better. i don't think this game ever really got finished. i don't care if it has to be in updates, but man, to release this as a full game and then not do any patches or updates to the game.... oof.

It was a fun little tower defence. Hard to figure out the proper builds in some maps. 7/10

I love tower defence games and I also love incremental games. So that for me, makes this game an easy pick. If people came into this one expecting just a pure tower defence game, they may be a bit disappointed. But the combination of the two genres for this one, works perfectly in my opinion. You do the normal stuff, you build towers and defend against the oncoming enemy, that's the tower defence element, perfectly normal. But you also collect resources from the deceased enemy and that is what you buy upgrades with. You expect to have to do some levels multiple times to make progress. Simple and yet adds longevity to the game and for folks like me extra pleasure. I first played the game when it first came out and enjoyed it then. I've recently come back to the game and have enjoyed it just as much this time. Yes, this game gets a solid recommendation from me.
