(No Major Spoilers ahead) YOUR OBJECTIVE: Find 3 buttons while avoiding the
rat-eater, monster?
, and eventually find your NPC rat friend, then lead it to the exit, which is also the entrance so you'll know exactly where it is. Why don't more people play this game? If you love horror games and have any experience with Gorilla Tag at ALL, then immediately get this game. If you want to play multiplayer, you might want to get some friends, because for some reason the game has very few players at any given time (all time high was 9 players...). And don't kick randoms unless they are bothersome, the more the merrier (or you're playing singleplayer and do not have to deal with any of that). The game itself plays similarly to Gorilla Tag, but with some key differences. Firstly, it is significantly harder to jump off a wall to get over the
indescribable horror
while it is after you, something I personally did in Gorilla Tag. Secondly, aside from walls, structures are really easy to climb up, like pipes, grates, ladders, railings, and other geometry. Some geometry you can even grab using the lower trigger on your controller. Immediately after entering the sewers, I usually climb up one of the pipes in the central area by jumping onto a nearby grate, then using the part of the pipe jutting out slightly to clamber up to the second floor. Finally, miscellaneous section. You can customize your rat, brightness, audio, if you hear others as squeaking rats, nothing, or human voices, if you want push-to-talk, what microphone to use, if you can collide with other players, if other players become slightly transparent when getting closer, etc. Lobby settings include difficulty, or how fast the
...I don't even know.
moves, how many of
those terrifying things
there are (1 or 2), and how many buttons to press (3 or 6). And how could I forget the EXTRAs menu, practice.
To enter, you literally push your hands through the screen and pull your head into the television, or push your head into the television without putting your hands into it
. The practice area caught me off guard, but there is truly an incredible amount to do in the practice mode. You can make a laser wall mimic the
have you been reading all these?
that chases you, and even change its difficulty to see if you can outrun it at that difficulty. My personal best is difficulty 7. Difficulty 8 is slightly too fast for me to keep up. The practice area is huge, there is a mouse-wheel, tunnels, and...an
orb
. I have no idea what the
orb
does. I took it through the exit to the practice area, and it just vanished... Why are you still reading this review? Go play some SCAMPER! Preferably go in blind, unlike me. Despite not going into it blind at all, it was still a horrific experience being chased by
the embodiment of anguish
.
