I'm super impressed after only using it for a few minutes. I'm hoping I can use it to convert some home movies into volumetric videos. Imagine being able to pet a long dead dog in VR years after you took the video. This is bloody epic.

As of the writing of this review, this software currently has its quirks and the volumetric results aren't perfect, but this software did make me think "Oh, that's interesting!" I feel this software was worth the $7 entry point. The volumetric aspects breathes new life into any 2D videos you may have available locally. I have used it to view concerts and it adds a bit more of "wonder" to the performance, if you adjust the options appropriately. Note that you will probably need a powerful GPU or risk long wait times. Alternatively, you can use their web renderer service (not free).
I believe this software is a hidden gem on Steam and I'm surprised it isn't more popular. Kudos to the dev(s) and I sincerely hope the dev(s) continue to improve this product because if this type of tech can ever be perfected one day we will be one step closer to achieving utopian sci-fi fantasy technology.

If you want software that generate 3D depth maps to view in VR, this is not it. AutoDepth is way better at doing this and it has an experimental feature for "Touch" part of this software.
The menu is lacking, the controls are frustrating, there's no Index support, and you can't move the video around. The quality of the depth map is comparable to AutoDepth.
The only thing that this software has over AutoDepth is the support for 180/360 videos and 3D videos. If that's what you're going for, then that's the only way I can recommend this software.
For the majority of people that would use this software though, just get AutoDepth.

It's scary how well it does at turning 2D vids into 3D.
Give that feeling of seeing first 3D movies vibe.
The thing is it kinda fail at being a video player for now.
It doesn't support HEVC or special kind of codec.
Still truly one of a kind app.

Wanna convert 3D SBS? Pay 10 dollar extra on an external website. The program itself crashes constantly. Rendering 2 minutes of video took me more than an hour. It only converts vr180 which is something different than half dome 3D SBS. It's a cool idea but this is programm is horrible. I requested a refund even though I apparently used it for 3 hours trying to get it to work. I hope I get it because I'd hate to give these devs money.

It's innovative but needs major improvements. If generative artificial intelligence were implemented with volumetric videos to fill in the 3d poly gaps it would open up the gates to a whole new entertainment market. This is more of a stepping stone in that direction. It's like comparing a crt monitor to an ultra high definition oled. This is new tech which is amazing for what it's capable of doing in real-time but the ai would make it absolutely mind blowing if implemented correctly.
I recommend it if you're like me and enjoy being one of the first to explore the latest technology but it's a little rough around the edges. I tried it on the HP Reverb G2 WMR VR headset and everything appears to work with the exception of the pass-through feature. Runs fine on my ALIENWARE AURORA R9 I7 32 GB NVMe SSD system sporting an NVIDIA RTX 2070.
