Soundodger+ is actually probably one of the best rhythm games out there- having a whole level editor, which is something most games like this won't have.
As for the actual gameplay, it's incredible. The music just slaps so hard, I will casually listen to Katapult every day, as well as most of the other songs. Although Soundodger 2 has been out for awhile, I wouldn't call this game dead. It is still really fun to play, and I still recommend it.
I think the heart feature is actually really smart, as it tests your skill by tempting you to go for it, then not get hit all the way after if you're going for 100%. And it can be really hard and challenging on DLC levels like Venus, as well as the heart levels in the main levels section.
I could go on for hours about how much stuff is this game including or excluding the DLC, but I'm not going to torture you like that. Overall I'll just say that this is a great game for people who like rhythm games, or people who are just looking for something to play. And if you are just getting into the game, you're in for a ride.
